Thank you for us having pleasant stay in Montreal
The location was very good we could almost go anywhere conveniently. It's close to the central train station. Best part of the stay is the breakfast. Every morning we received good energy from the food we had. 2The owner of the BnB give us all the helpful informations for travelling and things about Montreal. Our room was the smallest one but the bed was cozy and warm. Recommend for everyone who want to feel like Montreal is there home.

This is the absolute best place to stay in Montreal. A perfect location for getting around the city by car, public transport, or walking. As for the hotel itself, it is a gorgeous building that is exceptionally well-maintained by Yves and Ephraim. A very clean, quiet, and welcoming environment. If you're going to be staying in Montreal, make sure to do yourself a favour and stay here!

Charme et confort
Parfait séjour de 3 nuits au Gingerbread Manor. Les hotes sont fort sympathiques et aux petits soins. La demeure est magnifique, style rétro Les chambres sont spacieuses et la literie très confortable. Nous n'avons manqué de rien, tout est pensé pour que nous nous sentions comme à la maison. Les petits déjeuners sont variés et excellents, animés par nos 2 hôtes qui ont plaisir à discuter avec nous. Le métro est à 5 min à peine. Cest une adresse à vraiment recommander Barbara & family

It was a delight getting to know the owners of this B&B. Located on a quiet street in the heart of a really fun neighborhood, it was easy walking to some of the best restaurants and shops in town. I would definitely book again.

Great location, challenging proprietor interaction
Great location and home to spend our vacation in Montreal. Appreciated close proximity to the transit system, places to eat, and the general walkability of the area. I'd recommend staying here if that's your primary goal, as it was ours. Reasonably value. Hosts were generally friendly and hospitable, we just wish there wasn't such a focus on unmerited polarizing and political discussion - an absolute no-no in the hospitality industry (having stayed at dozens of B&Bs globally, we know it's not a successful approach). There are many comments and reviews before on the topic, we came in completely open and found that even seemingly trivial things like recycling in Pittsburgh (our home city, hosts had clearly never been there) and the US educational system (my partner was an administrator of a large public school system, was quietly insulted, and thus made the choice to not communicate following such unwelcome commenting) were made abrupt political topics. Overall, discussions just shouldn't have went there. I'll note that we are an LGBTQ couple, very liberal in our leanings, including a dual-citizen. We stayed at a B&B in rural Nebraska this weekend, and even knowing the proprietors had a very different world views than ours, they were amazing (non-queer) hosts who understood the importance in customer relationship, asked us about our hometowns, careers, families, and gave insightful local historical perspectives without the need for polarizing discussion.

The manor is downtown and 6 min to metro station Sherbrooke . The hosts are attentive and responsive. The room is very small, but if you are out for the day and just come in to sleep, it’s great. Good breakfast! Would recommend Gingerbread Manor to other guests.

Had a wonderful stay here. The hosts were friendly and made a good breakfast. Everything was neat and clean and appreciated the garage parking we paid for especially with the snow on the ground. Would definitely stay again.

We didn’t like that there was limited amount of parking and spent 1 hour shoveling during our departure (they did get 32 centimeters of snow during our stay). The staff was super friendly and even sat with us during breakfast. They did maintain the property shoveled and cleaned during the visit.

We have two garage spaces that can be booked well ahead of time. Guests may secure the garage, if available at any time after they reserve, a link is provided in our confirmation email. You chose not to and instead you used the city's on-street free parking. We unfortunately have powerless over the weather and the city's snow clearing schedule. We are sorry that this affected your enjoyment of your stay with us.

This property is in the most magical location. The street it's located on is absolutely beautiful. About a 5 minute walk away from amazing restaurants. The location is the absolute best.

If you want to have a pleasant bed and breakfast experience then the Gingerbread Manor is the place to stay. The host are wonderful and insightful. The food is delicious. They are very approachable and accomadating. The bed is comfy. Streaming services are provided. You are walking distance from all types of restaurants, cafes, bakeries, bars, and convenience stores. Even downtown is only a few km away so you can walk their to avoid the crowded and costly parking.

Lovely but smelly sheets
This was a very cute and centrally located B&B. The breakfast was delicious, and the two owners made us very welcomed. We used the large king room on the top floor and loved how spacious everything was. The only down side is that the bed and sheets smelled like wet laundry or a sweaty clothing. Made me question the cleanliness of the other areas.

I assure you that we (the owners) do all the laundry and everything, sheets, towels and duvet covers are machine washed and machine dried in house. All our laundry products are unscented, as we deal with some guests who have difficulties with perfumes/scents and the laundry soap is hypo-allergenic.

I liked the warm atmosphere inside the Manor. Very interesting staircase. Yves and Ephrain were good enough to get me some parking passes for the street, which made for easy parking. Breakfast was very good. I would stay here again.

A Jewel in Montreal
We booked it at last minute, and they went beyond helpful to make sure we got everything for checking in smoothly. Once we saw the rooms, they were really clean, spacious and cozy. Breakfast were a delight, and the room we ended up staying had its own bathroom. Excellent location, if you like walking, then you wont need a car to see most part of the city. Whether by walk or public, there are plenty of things to do around. The hosts are wonderful. Loved our stay.
