"Loved our stay at Wildwood Inn. This property is just a few miles from the entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, so the perfect spot to stay if you're hoping to enter the park before timed entry starts at 9:00 am. Or, if you want to head into the park after timed entry ends to see the sunset on top of the mountains (highly recommended!). Our room was clean and comfortable, and the hot tub on the deck was perfect. The property was quiet and relaxing -- much different from most other places in the area. This would be our top pick if/when we return to Estes Park."
"There is a mold issue in the bathroom, No vent fan. You can see mold on the ceiling and a couple place around the tub. The shower grab bar is loose and is not very secure.
I did not notice it till a few days into our stay but there was a couple stain spots or maybe dirty spots on the bottom sheet on the right corner near where your feet would be at. Like the sheet had not been changed.
I liked the black out curtains on the glass door. It would be nice if there was this type of curtain on the square window above the AC unit. The sun in the morning is too much when you are trying to sleep. Vacations are for sleeping in, not waking up at 5 am with the sun lighting up the room like it is noon LOL. Lights on AC unit are very bright and no way to cover them up.
We were disappointed the pool was not open yet. It had not been filled or cleaned. The gas grills that were there, one looked like it had gone through a hurricane and was in pieces, and the other grill did not look much better. Without a way to cook in the room we wanted to be able to grill and save some money.
I would have liked a room refresh mid-week and I asked the house keeping lady, but she did not understand what I was asking. Getting clean sheets midweek would have been nice. I was able to get clean towels.
There is no lobby staff, so you have to call a number to get help with anything.
The ice machine has a scoop to get your ice from the bin. I do not think this is allowed for health reason.
Floor was noisy"
"My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay at Caribou Crossing! The room we had felt more like a small apartment than a motel. The owner was on site briefly and was friendly and helpful. It's newly remodeled and was charming for a 1 night stay."
"Lodge was old and a little dirty, but it well-surpassed our expectations. Staff were nice and helpful (except for the time they barged in our room in the morning without notice). River sound was also nice - I wish those mesh screens weren't torn and we could leave the windows open.
Overall, we were happy and may return."
