Breakfast was awful! They were out of everything except very dry sausage patties and the bacon was stuck to the bottom of the serving pan! Gross!

Disappointed
Stayed here 3 times before and it was great. Recently bought out by a new company and it's very odd now. I've never in my life had to pay a $50 fee in case I damaged the room or stole something. You get it back of course but just because they had some vandalism one time everyone from now on has to "pay' for it by this odd reimbursed fee. Never heard of such a thing. Plus my heater didn't work. Too hot because it did not recycle off an on from the setting. Still had to pay for me room. No apologies. Sad because this was a good place before.

We stay at this location regularly as my family lives nearby. One thing we like esp. is the breakfast that the Holiday Inn Express is known for. We understand there is new ownership, but the person in charge was inadequately trained as she didn’t know how to operate or, “fix” the pancake machine- (was it broken?) so no pancakes. There was no juice but Apple- the eggs were of a disturbing slimy consistency and the “sausage”patties were beige… I refused to eat them, but my husband did- he soon threw them away saying they were just gross… There were no cinnamon rolls at all both days we were there, as we were told they hadn’t any, and the muffins they did have were frozen in the center…. It was like this both mornings we stopped by for breakfast and went to a Wendy’s drive thru instead. When we checked out my husband tried to share his disappointment with the breakfast but was told there wasn’t anything they could do at this point as we were leaving.” Maybe it’ll be better next time?” They said… On the drive home, my husband voiced to me his thoughts that in the future we need to stay elsewhere. I d rather not as it is close to my family, but I agree with him that we should get the breakfast we paid for that the Holiday Inn Express usually provides. I am sure that many, if not all, guests feel that the breakfast is a big deal, as we observed many fellow guests who were visibly annoyed and dismayed at what we were being served. We may not be back.

We do hold our housekeeping staff to the Hilton standards of cleaning, and all have been trained to do so. Staff was wearing pajamas! Not only that when I walked in my reservation along with 4 others were laying out on the desk with my room key paper clipped on. There was a piece of paper that said fill out paper and take your key. Very unsafe (someone could have taken they key, used it and returned it), very unprofessional. I would not stay here again. When I booked the room, I verified breakfast. I did so again when I checked in and was told they had eggs and sausage, cereal, fruit, etc. There was a sign that said Sunday breakfast 6 AM until 10 AM. We arrived about 9:25, and everything had been put away. I was told they closed at 9:30. I pointed to the very visible sign. But it was too late. Everything was torn down and put away. NOT acceptable.

Just okay. But the staff tried to make it work,
Kitchen staff quit Friday morning, and perhaps an asst manager. Saturday morning the Housekeeper I spoke with (asked her to change my sheets, as I found there was blood on them - not mine) said her boss was promoted to asst mgr and she herself to head housekeeper. Yet Sunday morning she was in the breakfast room, putting out pastries. She said their cook hadn’t shown up, nor front desk person. She was trying to do it all, but unfortunately didn’t have access to the computer to check people in or out. Not hot breakfast Friday morning or Sunday morning. Pastries were mostly put out Saturday night so were stale by Sunday morning. But there was cereal and yogurt and eventually cinnamon rolls

No show manager/no hot breakfast
When we checked in, it wasn’t very smooth as the manager didn’t know what rooms were cleaned and available plus they were out of toner so he had to write up a check in sheet for me to sigh. They were also taking emails of people checking out to send receipts later. Still haven’t received mine. The first day we went to breakfast around 9am on Saturday and found all the hot food was gone and no sign of it being replenished. On our second day around 8:15 on Sunday, we go to breakfast to find NO hot breakfast, just empty clean pans. We checked at the front desk and found out that the manager just didn’t show up that day, so they could only have cold breakfast items. The front desk was being run by housekeeping as there wasn’t any backup for the manager who didn’t show up. They were doing the best they could do but didn’t even have access the computer system. Not a great stay
No one at front desk at check in. No bar soap in bathroom. Reserved 2 queen beds. Got one king. Ran out of toilet paper and tissues. Only got two towels. Had to ask for more. Then I got overcharged for the room. Still trying to resolve this.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The front desk clerk was very helpful with giving us restaurant recommendations. The elevator could have used extra vacuuming.

It is unfashionable that money gets deducted immediately for the cost of the room but I have to wait for several days to have the deposit for “incidentals” credited back to my account.

I called ahead (at 11:00 am) told the front desk I was in town for a funeral and asked if we could have an earlier checkin. I needed to be at the funeral home at 1:30. The front desk said they “should have a room by 12:30.” When I got there at 12:30, I was told they didn’t have a room yet. I was told room x & y were clean but had no towels. The hotel seemed practically empty, there were limited cars in the lot. How long does it take to get one room ready!

Nancy,Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear of your concern regarding Early Check-In. Please know that we strive to ensure a pleasant experience for all guests during their stay. Unfortunately we can not guarantee Early Check-In for various reasons. Although it may have appeared that the parking lot was "empty", our Check-Out time is not until 11am, with high business levels the night prior. As their are Policies and Procedures in place regarding Housekeeping etc, we strive to do our best to accommodate requests such as yours, when available. We hope you understand the circumstances surrounding your request and look forward to serving you again in the future!

Don’t stay here!
Manager canceled my reservation without any notification. She also lied about why it was canceled initially saying hotels.com canceled it. After further investigation she finally admitted she has cancelled it and to give me my money back. She was extremely rude to me and I will never return to this location.

Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we unfortunately had to make some tough calls regarding reservations for you requested dates. Please be advised that as you booked via Hotels.com, we contacted them directly regarding this matter and requested they contact you as well to arrange any refunds, relocation etc. I would also like to address that no employee from our property lied or misrepresented the matter at hand. We strive to ensure all of our guests are well cared for and receive the utmost in hospitality. We do apologize for the outcome as well as you feeling you were rudely treated as I can assure you that was not the case. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

We arrived at hotel and had a great time. The hotel is nestled by itself in a nice section of town, which is good. The property is somewhat dated, but everything worked and we had no issues. The rooms are functional, clean, and carpeted. The only downside was a smell that came up once the AC was off. Otherwise the hotel was good. Would most likely return here if ever in the area again.
