Anita is a wonderful host…we are looking forward to a wonderful fresh breakfast this morning with eggs picked up from their farm this morning and homemade biscuits with honey from their bees! I his place is charming and quaint! Lovely stay!
This place was wonderful if you're looking for the farm environmental. The hosts were very nice and welcoming. The animals were friendly too. If you don't want to wake up to farm animal noises, then i don't recommend staying here, but otherwise it feels very authentic.
This place is a very neat place to stay. I am a city girl. So coming here was a unique experience. They have several animals. Sheep, different types of birds. Chickens, turkey, peacock, geese, cattle with big horns, mules or something that looked like a cross between a horse and donkey, Like i said city girl. Lol.
But several animals that you get to see and you can tell are loved and well cared for. So it is like waking up in a country tv show. Breakfast was wonderful too. For a city person a unique experience. A good one if you like animals.
Such an amazing experience. Anita and Bob were such wonderful hosts and awesome cooks. They were happy to accommodate a vegan and vegetarian diet, which was so kind. Their products for sale in the shop are also so incredible. We definitely recommend trying the honey and lavender soap bars. Anita was so happy to share about the history of the land, which was really magnificent. It was also so wonderful to get to spend time around the amazing breadth of animals: turkeys, chickens, horses, peacocks, cattle, and Coco the dog is the sweetest! This location is so central to some incredible hiking opportunities and the Jack Daniel’s distillery.
My husband and I were looking for a quick, relaxing getaway. We heard of a lavender farm in TN and had to check it out. What a wonderful experience! The owners were an amazingly talented couple who were intent on making the stay enjoyable. The cabin feels as if you've stepped back in time. The homemade breakfast the next morning was amazing. We loved getting to meet the different members of the farm---namely the chickens and sheep and geese. A lovely place to stay and plan on visiting again.
I cannot put into words how relaxing this place is. We went there to unplug on our anniversary and did we ever! We slept better than we have in years. No TV and limited internet so we just enjoyed the peace and quiet. A rooster awakened us for Breakfast which was delicious and all organic which is a real plus. The smell of lavender is everywhere and the lavender soap was wonderful. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to step back in time.
Peaceful, comfortable and interesting stay. The cottage with a mid 18th century decor combined with a mix of local history and curious farm animals
(two Tom turkeys and Peacocks being the most curious about our presence).
We’ll return for a longer stay in the future.
We had a WONDERFUL time and Bob and Anita were the best hosts! Our bed and breakfast stay was so relaxing, quiet and special! The farm was beautiful and the animals entertaining and friendly!
We didn’t stay. The B&B was nothing like it was presented on Hotels.com The rating was 9.2 as exceptional and it was so bad that it was not worth a rating! It was very disappointing, but even though we had already paid we left and found a very nice hotel about 20 minutes away. I will never use Hotel.com again!
It was an 1800's farmhouse once owned by Wiley Daniels. It is restored to original and has a long, interesting history. Our hosts, Anita and Bob were delightful and knowledgeable about the house and surrounding community.
WOW!!! What an exceptional experience. The hosts couldn't have been more accommodating to our needs. Great quite relaxing soothing environment with a natural calm. If you are in the area (or even close) strongly consider staying at Mulberry Lavender Farm. It is also a romantic getaway for couples with no distractions. OH, and the breakfast is DELICIOUS!
Very quaint, lots of history, farm animals, loved the owners, extremely friendly and knowledgeable...would definitely stay again!!!

Unusual
If you are wanting to stay waaay out in the country, then this is definitely your place, although it is a bit tricky to get too (we followed instructions provided by MapQuest). We (my daughter who was celebrating her 21st birthday and I) chose this place because it was kind of close to the Jack Daniels Distillery (where we had spent our day earlier). The farm has happy, healthy, friendly chickens and Toulouse geese, also a friendly black kitty who came out to greet me. The owner is also friendly. We stayed in Wiley's room (in keeping with the Jack Daniels theme, it is my understanding that Jack and Wiley were brothers, and that once-upon-a-time Wiley owned this farmhouse), which was clean and loaded with all kinds of antiques. Be prepared to provide your own source of entertainment since there is no television or WiFi provided to guests. We brought our Soprano's Trivia Game and a good old fashioned deck of cards that we played several hands of Gin & one game of War with. We laughed our heads off rehashing the days events trying to get to sleep. The only complaint I suppose would be that breakfast was served at 0800, and since we did not sleep well we got up entirely too early, so we decided to get on with our day, plus for what it is, it was a bit pricey. All-n-all it was an unusual adventure.
Very Good! My daughter and I shared the upstairs room that had two beds (one was a full size bed and the other a queen size bed -- very comfortable! In the morning Anita and her husband Bob cooked us a very, very delicious breakfast. Before we left we shopped in her shop downstairs and purchased some lavender oil and lavender products that she made. They both keep so busy and
are raising farm animals, lavender, vegetables in the greenhouse, etc. -- I'm just amazed at their
tenacity to endure farm life. But they're making it -- undaunted!!!
It was a beautiful property and the animals are so sweet. I loved the b&b. Anita was very sweet and willing to do whatever she could do to meet my needs.
Fantastic welcome from Bob and Anita who have a very unique property. We loved the way they've furnished the house with period pieces to make it feel even more authentic. Nothing was too much trouble for them from the tea at night through to a home cooked breakfast. Well worth a stop if you want to continue in the Daniel's history after visiting the distillery.
Loved staying at the farm with Bob and Anita. The house and history are amazing. We stayed in Wiley’s room and you can just imagine life how it was so many years ago without stress, internet or tv. Would stay there again.
