The hotel was nicely maintained. The grounds had beautiful flowers. It is located close to a park with a walking path around a pond which was great to exercise our dog in the morning before a long drive. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. The only reason for the 4 start and not 5 star for amenities is bc they did not have shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. It was a great place to overnight after a long day of driving

Quite a unique looking facility. We had a great stay. Place was easily accessible from highway with great parking. Check in was quick with a very friendly employee who readily answered any questions we had. Best of all, it was clean.

Very nice stop on the way. Excellent staff. Breakfast was fine with good coffee. Room was comfortable and I slept great. (They recommended the pizza place next door, and it was very good.)

What a great surprise just off I 90. We wanted to get a couple hours away from Rapid City on our way back east after touring all day in the Black Hills. Found this place and it was awesome. Everything about the hotel was wonderful, staff was great, pool was fun, breakfast was wonderful. One pro tip I’d add, slip away for dinner at the circle E drive-in. Homegrown beef, 7 ounce bacon cheeseburger best we’ve ever had.

Check in was simple and quick. Prairie Pizza is delicious! Room backed up to a house, they were working in the garage until after 10pm. The A/C is very loud, and woke us up all night when it kicked on. Breakfast was very basic, but kept stocked well. Morning help was not interested in opening the pool on time, and then complained that we weren't the only guests when we asked 10 minutes after it was scheduled to be opened. We get it, but when we politely asked if the pool was going to be open you can just admit you forgot and will get it soon.

South Dakotan Hospitality at this Charming Inn

Charming western-theme inn. Property was clean and well-maintained. Our room was very comfortable and bathroom was spotless. Desk clerks were kind and hospitable. If we’re in the area again, we will definitely book a stay at the Range Country Inn.
