This is a heritage property and though there is a dated feeling to the furnishings, we found it gave a charming atmosphere and a nice throwback as a rustic northern resort. The cottages and rooms are simple and not modern, but the cost of staying here is pretty reasonable for such a spectacular location on the breathtaking Lake Joe. Other places nearby would have been $500 more for our 3 night stay....

“Worst hotel experience ever. The lack of basics like a dresser or a table or a closet. And you can't put your things on the floor because the portable AC unit in the room is causing a puddle in the carpet. If you try hanging your stuff on the little command hooks on the walls, they'll fall and take a chunk of drywall with them. There was a TV but no remote. There was trash under the bed. The decorations on the wall were damaged. No fridge, so bring a cooler, but be prepared to haul it up 3...

“This was my first stay in Muskoka and now I am planning my next visit. My friends and I had a great time. The cabin was clean, private, and the view of the lake was amazing. The rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend getaway.”

“Spend more $$ and stay elsewhere. The beds were equivalent to sleeping on a pc of plywood. I spilled a little water on the floor and when I wiped it up, the rag was filthy. I dont think the floors have ever been washed. Our outside door didnt line up so we couldnt keep it open because bugs were coming in through the gaps. There was mildew in the shower on the ceiling.
