This was a great stay in every aspect and would do it again. The service was excellent. At the same time, I'd probably rent my ski's from the big ski place in town rather than here next time to get a more experienced fitter.
This hotel is amazing on all counts, legendary breakfast beyond wildest dreams and expectations, a cornucopia of delights. I will return and recommend to anyone and especially my friends and family
Stayed here for a week for a late March ski holiday . The hotel is very comfortable and spacious. staff is very friendly and helpful . The small downside is the service and food options were limited maybe due to towards the end of season . But overall enjoy the staying a lot .
Everything was awesome. Service top notch. Rooms clean and views are spectacular. Only complaint if any was the pillows were uncomfortable. Would definately come back again.

Excellent and friendly staff, always eager to help with any questions. Shuttle is great. Loved that the ski rental shop is right in the hotel. I wish the hot springs was a bit bigger and had more amenities but it was a nice way to relax after a day of skiing. The bar and restaurant is not open during the day which we didn’t realize. All in all a great hotel though.
Great hotel with great facilities. Free shuttles available to and from the slopes. Individual locker’s provided if you are bringing your own snowboards/skis. Drying room you can use. Self laundry/dryer facilities available to use. Onsen free to use after each day on the slope. We also booked a massage with Lily for last night and she was fantastic together with an aromatherapy treatment. They also provide Yamato Black cat service from the hotel so I can send your bulky snowbag straight to the airport so you don’t have to lug it around whilst you continue exploring other parts of Japan.
Loves the out door spa. See snow falling down as you soak in the hot water. The place is wonderful. Pricing is very reasnable.

The restaurant option closes at 8pm. Something the staff did not explain upon check in.
The bar doesn’t open till 4pm in the afternoon. Again, something the staff did not explain.
They don’t have any vending machines with food options. Seriously so no food on site after 8pm and nothing available to eat.
They don’t have vending machines with Beer or Liquor options.
There were no towels in the shower area. Yes they give you an Onsen towel and small towel in a tote bag but come on. Have proper towels for the room for when you shower.
Lastly, their shuttle service doesn’t run until after the first bus from Hakuba t Nagano runs so we had to take Taxi’s into the town-1.5KM.
We loved our stay at the Hakuba Tokyu Hotel! We only had 2 nights in the area but wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel provides a free shuttle to the Happo One Gondola (and other ski resorts if necessary) and to the train station - very helpful! It is in an excellent location - close to the Happo One Gondola and plenty of places to eat. We ate in the hotel itself and the food and service were excellent. The onsen was incredibly clean and relaxing. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again!
The hotel is great. A bit of a walk (15-20 minute) to the village. The town offers a shuttle bus which take you to the ski locations and stops at a variety of drop off locations. It would be nice if the hotel would offer their shuttle, then you would not have to wait for the town shuttle or pay the expensive taxi rates (if you could get a taxi). Allot of walking or better yet bring a car.
We have never had such helpful staff member .Romain acted like a tour guide as well as English speaking contact at the hotel. He new about ,lift tickets ,the ski resorts ,rental gear, restaurants, taxis ,clubs and bars, transport to and from Hakuba ,bus time tables ,etc etc .
And he did it all with a smile on his face and helped make our holiday a beauty!
The hotel has a very good spa and bus services run to ski fields pretty regularly .
Spacious clean room and ensuite. Nice hotel with friendly staff. The hotel was very covid conscious and clean. It is well located and the Hakuba valley shuttle bus stops at the hotel.
While the buffet breakfast was nice, the on-site French restaurant - Chamonix was disappointing. The staff made us pre-order food when we booked the table and we couldn’t adapt meals to cater for gluten free. The food was OK but the overall dining experience was underwhelming.
