"As you walk up, how small the building is stands out, as is how the beat up the exterior looke, but once you walk into the lobby, you realize everything is going to be okay.
Not only does everything look nice and clean, but even the smell is great. Staff makes check in great, and then when you get to the room, you once again are greated by a clean smell, something close to baby powder.
The room is decent sized for the price, largely because the entrance has both a clothing cabinet and a table, chair, and mirror for makeup; I used the makeup table to keep a backpack on, freeing up desk space by the bed to set my laptop on.
I slept very well here, largely because the AC actually works as advertised: I could actually get the room down to 20°C (68° F) at night. I liked the bed too, but it is the typical firm Japanese bed which some might not like.
The location is also fantastic, as it is a short walk to Nagano Station, which also is the only walkable part of Nagano.
The only negative is the view from the window, but I personally don't care about that much.
Overall, fantastic hotel, and if I visit Nagano again, I'll likely stay here."
