I was surprised why this hotel does not have cuurent reviews and then I found that the majority of customers are local. Only one Chinese staff, Kon, can communicate in English but every staff is very nice and attentive once you figure out the rules. Public onsen fa ility is standard and efficient. Spacious toom must be at least 300 sq.ft. for 2 of us.
Hot Water and temperature are centrally controlled. But if you are after hours you should go to public bath to take a shower. Laundry is inside the public bath. Bring your detergent or you will have to buy from hotel. Public Transportation is free during regular skiing hours to all mountains and stop right next to hotel.
This hotel is a traditional Japanese property and such the rooms and the food served in their restaurants are all keeping with the Japanese culture and traditions. There is an onsen, hot spring pools, on site to soak in. They have a great and friendly staff who were very helpful in many ways. The property is close to world class ski resorts and there are convenient transportation options to get around the area. I would recommend this hotel to those who love the outdoors and would appreciate an immersive Japanese experience.
Staff was super friendly. They took us to the ski gear rental shop and back again to return the stuff. Their English was ok, enough to explain what buses to take, recommend pistes, etc. We even received a small gift when leaving. I recommend reserving the 3 meal course.
Staff were the best . Extremely helpful . Food was great traditional Japanese. Recommended for families after a quiet location close to some great ski locations.
