“Gurung's Home has truly become my home away from home. I stay here - nowhere else! - whenever i'm in Kathmandu. The staff is the family, and they are so welcoming, and able to help me with my transportation issues. It is a little bit hard for the taxis to find the address, because Google Maps directs them to a pedestrian street. But about five minutes out of the way, and you can find it. The location is cool because the bustling city is right nearby, but the hotel is on a quiet side street....

“Beautiful views and fresh air. Helium was a fantastic host, always polite and ready to help us however we needed. House was clean and bedroom was as described. Our flight was late in the evening so we were allowed to stay an extra 6 hours and Helium even went to collect some food. Breakfast was tasty and very filling. We loved it here and plan to return. Thank you Helium and mama❣️”

Shailendra and Amrita, the owners, make sure that your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Their friendliness and hospitality is sincere and it is evident in the amazing breakfast they serve every day. Rooms are comfortable, quiet, and the ones in the front have a wonderful view of the pond, with the mountains as the background. ”
