Not your typical Japanese town, even in far northern Hokkaido. Windswept, unpretentious, down-to-earth. Fishing, farming, and government seem to be the mainstays of the economy after the summer visitors go home.

Very convenient location. A nice place to stay.

Everything was great except the room design. Center island table has 2 sharp corners.
