“Road to the place was verg bad. 6inch deep potholes. Pulled into very muddy car park. Was shown to the room which was via a dangerous very badly lit outside staircase. I fell over in the dark via a very bad step, injuring my arm. Ws wers so dissapointed that we left early without breakfast. The room itself, although old fashioned, was acceptable and comfortable. Hiwevef, we cannot comment about breakfast as ws did not stay. Very disappointing experience overall.”

“Breakfast was okay, similar to a Premier Inn. Parking was easy but paid for on a machine separately. Room was clean. Staff were fine except we waited over 5 minutes for someone to come to reception. ”

“We had a fantastic stay here whilst attending a wedding nearby. The owners were super helpful in terms of their communication ahead of our booking, as well as in answering all of our questions in the build up. The cooked breakfast in the morning was amazing and we really appreciated their friendliness and their suggestions for things to do in the nearby area. The entire house was very well kept and we would highly recommend staying here - thank you!”

“Lovely staff in an old beautiful building. The breakfast was great and the room was cosy and clean but a little on the colder side. Unfortunately we were directly above the function room which had a party on the Saturday day. The music was so loud that the furniture was vibrating. I should have requested a quiet room upon booking. I wouldn't let it put me off booking again”

“Richard was very welcoming. My plans changed on the day of arrival and he extended my stay, no issues at all. Had everything and more than i needed in my room. I stay away from home approximately 6 months of the year for the last 28 years and i think this was the most comfortable bed and fluffiest duvet i have ever had. Very quiet and peaceful area and the best nights sleep, very restful. ”
