“Staying here was amazing. The room was just what I needed for my one night stay in Durham. The bus stop wasn’t far away and was very easy to get into the city center. I arrived a little bit early and they didn’t even flinch to get me into my room. Highly recommend!”

“Check in was not good. I traveled from a different country and needed wifi to get a code. I had to drive 5 miles to get to a friend to call the owners. The owners were in and out of service so they could only text. When i finally got the proper code. It was 5 flights of steep stairs. It should have been told how many flights of stairs to go with a large suitcase.”

“Everything is great, you even have tea, coffee , hot chocolate , milk, sugar and chocolates on the pillows. Very professional in every way and so helpful and thoughtful”

“A comfortable stay in a clean, basic room. I was dropping my kid off at Durham, and needed an affordable, nearby place. This came up on an Expedia search. About 30min away from her college, and we took the opportunity to drive 5 min down to Horden Beach for a walk, which is lovely. We checked in at the bar, which was busy. “The only thing going for this place was the central location, near to historic sites and restaurants. The faults were many. It was advertised as a B&B, but breakfasts had ceased in June of this year. the room was shabby and claustrophobic. dust and grime were apparent throughout. the shower room was cramped and mould was apparent. The shower hose and head were caked in mould. no hot water available. the room suffered from dampness and subsequently our clothes were damp after hanging in the...
