It’s like stepping back in time to visit a town, farm, colliery village and old hall and getting to experience what it was like to live in those places from about 1910 onwards. There are staff who take on the roles of various locals that really bring this place to life. Lovely stay close to town

We stayed here for one night to attend a concert, bargain price for what was offered. Easy 20 mins into Newcastle town centre, super friendly staff, comfy bed, one of the best showers I've had in a hotel and fantastic breakfast! Thank you for a lovely stay.

The hotel is situated close to local amenities but just far away to be quiet. Some areas of the hotel require a lick of paint but it was generally clean and worth the money. Breakfast was good.

Nice, clean rooms in a beautiful old villa. Quiet location and close to Newcastle city center or shopping, just a few minutes by car. Very friendly hosts and staff, award winning restaurant on site and a nice garden - if the weather permits it. We enjoyed staying there and can recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel. Warm, friendly and quirky!

Really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and polite. The rooms and hotel are quite old fashioned but are clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was really good. The bathroom radiator blasted out so much heat (and couldn’t be turned down) so the room was quite hot…bearing in mind it was November!

Arrived a few hours early, and the lady on the front desk was really friendly and got us checked into our room. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff at breakfast were very nice and the food was very nice also very fresh. She even made my son a bacon sandwich because he couldn’t be bothered to get out of bed 😂. I would definitely recommend this place.

Brilliant Home From Home

I'm slightly annoyed I didn't know about the apartment at Eslington Villa before now as it's perfect for a family stay. The only word of warning is there are three flights of stairs as it's in the attic space but what a lovely place. Fantastic value for the space, a home from home with absolutely EXCELLENT customer service from the front desk, annoyed I didn't get his name but he's a credit too you. I love it when people in hospitality understand that they play a pivotal part in your experience and are not just doing a "job." Breakfast is amazing as well. Only visiting family overnight but felt like a holiday. Desperately checked dates for our next visit but booked but will get you next time!!

A nice, traditional hotel with friendly staff

A nice, traditional hotel with super friendly staff. Was only a one night stay, up from Surrey to watch the PSG game, and they greeted us with a nice, personal approach and a smile. The house is obviously old, with creaks and groans as you wander about but has character. The room was clean and comfortable with traditional touches, such as decor and trimmings, absolutely not a bog standard 'every other hotel room' feel. Parking was easy and felt secure, my car was literally under my window! Breakfast was plentiful and nicely cooked, cereals and croissants to line the stomach until the full English arrived. Every member of staff was just so nice and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. If you forced my hand and asked for a negative, the only thing I would add is a USB port anywhere in the room as I forgot the plug end for my phone cable! Lol.
