Friendly reception (thanks Daniel). The hotel is adjacent to the station and therefore ideal if arriving by train. It’s a little bit dated and a bit of a warren but the room was large and comfortable and the bathroom was roomy too.

The staff are welcoming and very helpful. A very pleasant start to our city break.
Very nice hotel, nice staff, great location beside the train station. Definitely recommend. Just beware of late night noises which is expected in the middle of Newcastle
The building is old but has great character and the staff are amazing. My partner needed a room without having to negotiate stairs due to sight difficulties. The staff were amazing in organising a room and in ensuring a peep was done immediately… so very helpful
Excellent location next to the train station
Spacious clean rooms with chandeliers
Very helpful friendly staff and quick check in
Will definitely return
Daniel and Johnathan helped us get our two rooms closer together. The new room was updated and lovely. The staff we dealt with were kind and professional even when fire alarms were going off in the morning the next day. They helped by holding our bags so we could explore the city before boarding our train.
Very spacious room. Great shower and comfortable bed. Breakfast was good too

What a beautiful hotel, first impressions take your breath away. All the staff, without exception, are always pleasant and efficient.
The hotel itself is in need of a refurb/decoration and is very run down in places. This didn’t bother us (we had read the reviews before we booked) but could be a disappointment to others.
Our room overlooked the train station and was noisy at night due to the trains but was doubly noisy when a nearby nightclub opened until the early hours on Friday to Saturday. Fortunately we had earplugs (thank again to earlier reviews).
Having said all of the above, we would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Our stay was exceptional. This hotel had the best staff ever. We will definitely come back.
