The hotel is close to shops and several restaurants. There is parking but it is limited (4 spaces), however we didn't have an issue + parked easily. The room was comfortable and clean with a lovely bathroom. There is a TV in the room but it uses the Internet which was slow so we were unable to watch anything. We had a meal in the bar at the hotel + the food was lovely. All staff we spoke to were friendly + helpful. We would stay here again.

A great little spot for a gig at Exhibition Park - we had a lovely quiet room on the tops floor at the back, staff were really helpful and decor was nice too.

It was really busy with students and there was noise till about 1230am but not the staffs fault as the lady who checked us in was really nice and helpful, we had to be up for 3am for a flight so we were very tired on the sleep we managed to have but the room was very nice and clean

We had a great stay at The Jam Jar whilst in town for a wedding. We stayed in a studio room which was decorated to a great standard, and slept well in a comfy bed. Staff were attentive to any needs we had. Location is great too, very close to all sorts of shops, restaurants, bars etc. Parking on site is very limited, so definitely explore alternatives if thinking of staying here; especially if there’s any events on in the area. We would definitely stay here again!

Pros - helpful and friendly check in, great tea tray, big tv and massive choice of channels, comfy big bed, fan already in the room. Cons - limited parking (4 spots) on first come first served basis, located in student area so lots of activity but depending on your age that might be a Pro (lol)

The room was massive and clearly newly decorated. It was let down on the first night by the previous occupants filthy towels still being in the room. The other major issue with the room is the noise. The room is at the front of the hotel and the noise from the revellers outside and the sound system just below the room meant no sleep. There should be a new word for places that charge you to stay but you can’t actually get any sleep. On the plus side the staff were friendly and the cocktails were delightful. Avoid if you want any sleep at all.

Lovely, modern, comfortable room and a perfect base for my son’s graduation. Staff were great. Would have given five stars, but the parking situation was disappointing. One of the reasons I booked was that the hotel advertised parking and I know that parking in Jesmond is hard to come by without paying NCP prices, however, when we arrived the parking was full. We ended parking a 30-minute walk away. If more parking was available, it would have been five stars for sure.

We stayed for a night and enjoyed the comfy bed, great location for central Newcastle, friendly staff and the handy parking space was a bonus. We enjoyed a drink in the bar and visited the nearby pink lane bakery for a pastry in the morning too.

Had a lovely stay. Really friendly staff. Clean, modern and comfortable room. Laid back atmosphere and felt at home. Also had the opportunity to have lunch downstairs - great food. Really pleased with the experience, great value for what we paid.
