“We expected more…. The place is run down with a strange old smell. Our room was just ok, but the view made up for it. The coin laundry did not work at all and it ate up all our coins. The food was the worst we experience in Japan, which is a terrible thing to say since we have never experienced bad food in Japan. We are very sorry to have to write this review, but we need to be honest since it was not a cheap reservation.”

“Absolutely lovely. Felt like I was staying with family. Quick walk to the gorgeous beach, next to a beautiful shrine, and a short walk from a delicious Ramen place. Not to mention the Onsen!!! What a magical experience it was to enjoy the outdoors and soak. And last but not least the breakfast! Felt like my mom made me lunch for the day. Absolutely would recommend to anyone staying in the area.”

“Very nice small Hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We stayed at the annex and had a nice room with a balcony and a lovely view.”

“Wonderful stay at a quiet hotel in Shimoda. A little dated and a little far away from the main town but beautiful views, helpful and friendly staff and an amazing ocean view onsen. My partner and I got a traditional Japanese room which was very spacious and comfortable.”
