Limited amenities but very nice people.
The couple was so kind. If you are looking to unplug (not have wi-fi or a lot of access to things nearby)this is the place for you. They had kittens and a beautiful nature area. I just want to make sure that people who are looking for a different type of experience are not misled. There is no Wi-Fi here. The breakfast was adequate. A good place for solitude and reflection.

Cute and quiet
Wow what an adorable place. We felt so welcomed and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing.... home cooked meals are the best. You're definitely off grid but it was so relaxing being off social media. I would stay here again.

Delightful and Relaxing
I felt so happy and at peace here. The hosts were friendly, and the location was beautifully landscaped. There is a river close by where you can sit and watch the rolling water. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The wraparound porch was so pleasant on a summer evening. I was greeted in the morning with a wonderful breakfast. There was no Wi-Fi, but that was a blessing. I enjoyed looking at the beautiful books about barns and covered bridges and just enjoying the peaceful setting.

My brother and I were riding in the RAGBRAI bike ride across Iowa and a mid-week overnight town was Mason City. We booked the Cupola Inn B&B after the 100 mile ride day, and it was a great place to stay. The proprietors went over and above to make our stay comfortable and convenient. My wife, had she been with us, would have loved the flower beds, "farm art", cats, and the cupolas. It was enjoyable to walk around the grounds and see everything. We took care of our gear using the onsite washing machine and dryer so we had clean clothes for the rest of RAGBRAI. We did not stay for breakfast, unfortunately, but it seems it is prepared to order and not a set menu. I just can't say enough about what a calming and quiet reprieve the Cupola Inn was mid-week. If I'm ever back in Mason City, I'd love to take my wife and stay at the Cupola Inn.

Barn and wildflowers!
The couple that hosted/owned Cupola was excellent! The breakfast was amazing daily, The place was clean and easy to find! Loved having coffee by the wildflowers!!

Loved the uniqueness of this B&B. Judy was vey friend,y,and helpful. The property looked great…unfortunately it was cold and rainy during our stay so we didn’t get to enjoy it. Room was cozy, bed comfy and breakfast was yummy. Would definitely recommend this little gem.

Home away from home in Iowa farmland!
Judy and Dale go out of their way to make you feel at home. Judy’s breakfasts are wonderfully made and presented. The rooms are very comfortable.

What a lovely quiet respite. Each room is unique and cupolas are everywhere. We breakfasted outside our room overlooking lovely gardens. The couple who own this run it with love. We enjoyed getting to know them. Definitely worth getting off the interstate to stay here and wander around.

Judy was so fun to chat with-breakfast was too short as we all needed to be getting on the road. The property was very well kept-so many beautiful flowers, lots of fun decorating touches in the room. Hope to stay again!

This was our first experience in a bed and breakfast and we absolutely loved it. Their place is quaint with very private rooms. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The breakfast was good and the hosts were very friendly.

The Cupola Inn B & B is a hidden gem! The property is in the country on the Winnebago River. The owners are beautiful people who will take time to "sit a spell" and visit. Russ the "watchcat" was a great bonus at this place. The homemade breakfast was the best. Look forward to visiting again.

Happened upon this B&B while looking for a hotel in the area. This is an actual farm with barns, cupolas, gardens, crops surrounding, Winnebago River, fantastic hosts & great breakfast and nice rooms

Wish we could have stayed longer
We very much enjoyed our short stay at the Cupola. Judy met us when we arrived, showed us our room, and confirmed our breakfast order. The room was clean and comfortable, and I enjoyed reading through the notebook on the history of the Inn. We enjoyed a walk along the river in the morning before a wonderful breakfast in our room. Unfortunately, we had to get on the road right after we ate. We will definitely come back if the opportunity comes up.

Beautiful location with excellent hosts. We came to the area to visit friends, and we are so glad we chose the Cupola Inn. Our favorite and most special part of our stay was the bonfire and smores provide by our hosts. Great homemade breakfast too! If we are looking for a place to stay in the area again, we will choose the Cupola Inn!

Ett fynd!
Helt fantastiskt B & B på landet i Iowa. Lugnt, vackert och helt underbart värdpar! Ingen wi-fi men det gjorde ingenting, vi njöt av att sitta på verandan och lyssna på syrsorna. Otroligt kelsjuka katter hade dom också. Vi fick en ljuvlig frukost och satt länge och bara njöt av friden! Om vi någonsin kommer tillbaka till Iowa kommer vi självklart att boka detta igen men stanna flera dagar!

Secluded special stay
The secluded find was absolutely wonderful. The rooms are amazing, and the breakfast was wonderful, and after a hard days work to come back and take a hot jet tub bath was great!

Charming B&B in a Fairy Tale Farm Setting
We could not believe what a charming, relaxing, beautiful place this was. Dale and Judy were perfect hosts who shared their knowledge of farm life, barn collections & antiques. Judy is a fantastic cook who serves food with flare on different dishes every day. Each room was decorated differently. We stayed in the Roost. We didn't want to leave. Photo books in the room tell stories of 15 years of B&B hosting and Dale and Judy are willing to share their own personal stories as well. And of course, cupolas everywhere! What a treat!!! It is about 8 miles from Mason City. Very, very clean. Big soft towels. Access to washer and dryer. Could not have asked for a better, more relaxing stay. Hope to stay again some day.
