“The hotel was a little tired. it was in an excellent position and has a lot going for it and it could be better. Staff generally good, service in restaurant could be better. drinks in restaurant after the meal were slow and had to find someone to serve customers.

“We had a room right at the end of a corridor so it was very quiet considering there was a wedding there. The room was spacious and clean and the air con was great for such a hot weekend. The bed was comfy, the only thing we were missing was an iron and ironing board which would of come in handy. We will definitely stay here again.”

The rooms were spotless, facilities are great, top spec bathroom etc etc. The staff are friendly and informative, and to top it all you get breakfast included! “I had a lovely stay at the Best Western Plus West Retford Hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the historic building adds a lot of charm. My room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent—fresh and well-prepared. Only downside was the breakfast, which felt a bit basic compared to the rest of the experience. Overall, a peaceful and enjoyable stay. Would definitely return!”
“There was lots of parking available. Check in was easy and the receptionist was very helpful in pointing out where our room could be found and where the spa could be accessed near our room. Having three single beds in one room is a really good idea for three adults to share - I went with my two daughters and none of us wanted to share a double bed so three singles in a room was exactly what we needed. “Great location, great room, the only thing that let the hotel down was our evening meal which was not at the standard we had previously experienced and staff managing restaurant on the evening did let it down. Saying that, breakfasts were fabulous, and otherwise great experience and will definitely stay again.”
