Kids enjoyed making custom drinks at the bar, and loved the beach (no seaweed, clean white sand, amazing sunset every nights). Good food but limited selection. It’s a small cozy property with one pool and pretty much one restaurant. All inclusive was a way to go as everything at the resort is overpriced otherwise. “Beautiful landscaped grounds, made if feel like you were in a jungle resort. All kinds of creatures with howler monkeys in trees just off out balcony the highlight. Great breakfast and the staff were amazing. Great pool as well. 1 block from the beautiful beach with great walking along the ocean to Playa del Coco.”

“Great hotel with great location. They are in the process of updating the property and building what, I think, are private condos, so the overall property is improving. Staff is friendly and fluent in English. Had one run in with an issue due to a door malfunction, and while it was not a positive interaction, in the end, it was resolved amicably. Overall, wonderful location, great people, lovely restaurant with great food and exceptional staff. A great, great property. Critiques would only...

“Excellent location just a few blocks from the beach. Several restaurants very good restaurants close by and shops. Simple but clean and comfortable room with balcony sitting space. Very nice owners and staff who gave us good info about the area. ”

“The pool at Borinquen is surrounded by trees and is set kind of in a valley and in the afternoons between 3-5 you could start to see the branches moving on the trees and all of a sudden, you would start to see monkeys swinging from branch to branch. Mama monkeys carrying their baby monkeys, monkeys "fighting", eating, just going about their day. It was absolutely amazing. That was when the spider monkeys came out. If the howler monkeys were there you would hear them coming up the valley around...

“This is the real deal! Historic property with great food, great rooms. Had a suite, very nice. We were welcomed by howler monkeys, deer and agouti (which is pleural for agouti). Nice clean pool. 4 star luxury. Stayed on our way to the airport, easy commute 45 minutes.”
