“A lovely village pub. I didn’t have a dinner, however, the breakfast, which was included in the room rate, was really nice, with freshly made coffee, which was good. The rooms are above the pub, my window faced the outdoor patio but I didn’t find it noisy. The room was large with a comfy double bed, and a nice sofa style chair for one. “My family of three stayed in the Nidderdale EnSuite room. It was plenty big enough and the beds were very comfortable. Nice touches included tea and biscuits awaiting our arrival in our room. We did not partake in breakfast due to other plans with family, but I have no doubt it would have been lovely. Amanda had great communication prior to our stay. I would definitely recommend it.”

“The property is well maintained and very clean , we found the room spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of items to order. The host James was very professional and happy to advise on the area . Close to the cliff lift to the spa, and we found the area nice for walking around Scarborough. The public transport links are close by , you can easily leave the car parked and enjoy a driving free break. We would fully recommend the waves for a short or longer break”

“Rebecca is the best! Whatever you want/need she’s there! Had a problem with the bedside lamp - she fixed it, injured my knee, she fed me (not for free I hasten to add before scores of people want the same!). She cooked my breakfast and made sure I was made to feel VERY welcome. Sort of sorry to leave!”
