If it's your first time traveling during the COVID-19 outbreak, you'll notice a range of new standards and rules in place. Take note of these tips and make your journey to Northern Alberta go off without a hitch:

• Before committing to anything, find out if any travel restrictions or bans apply — in both your origin and destination. Get up-to-date information by checking official government websites.
• Wear a face mask during airport screening. A TSA employee will ask you to lower your mask temporarily for identification purposes.
• Do not hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA officer. Rather, place your pass on the scanner and then hold it up for inspection.
• One liquid hand sanitizer container is now permitted in your carry-on baggage. It must not be larger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll need to remove it from your bag for X-ray screening.
• Empty your personal items from your pocket, such as your phone and wallet, and place them in your carry-on instead of into bins. This will reduce handling during the screening process.
• Separate any food you're carrying for screening. Food items often trigger the alarm. Putting them in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA employee to handle and inspect your belongings.

To help minimize contact between travelers and cabin crew for the remainder of the COVID-19 pandemic, many airlines have taken physical distancing and other measures to the skies. Just some of these are:
