All things must pass
The hotel staff announced that they were CLOSING in 3 days!!!! Still provided good experience and top notch service. However, the airport shuttle ( which was a principle reason for our stay) had been discontinued. No one had notified us in advance! Paid $60. plus for UBER instead. Ouch.

This property advertised that there was a restaurant on the 2nd floor open for breakfast lunch and dinner. The restaurant was only available for breakfast. It took over 30 minutes to reach the front desk for room service. Overall poor stay with poor service.

Good location and fast airport transfer. Didn't have safes but had safety deposit boxes at the main desk. Probably not good if you have a laptop or something. Rooms were good and spacious.

Not up to expectations.
Room was not ready at the advertised check-in time --- we had to wait more than an hour in the lobby. The first day, in-room coffee & toiletries were not replenished. On subsequent days, the coffee was renewed, but toiletries never were. Used glasses and coffee cups were not replaced --- they were left as they were for all three days. But ... the room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the river view was very nice.

The landscaping around this property is not maintained at all. There is grass that is over 2 feet tall all around this property and does not look maintained compared to its neighbors. Inside the property the hotel was well-maintained.

2 things concerned me: I paid for valet parking but after returning to the hotel from dinner, the valet had gone home so I parked the car myself? 9:30pm? Also at 8am in the morning the clean in ng lady was knocking on the door to clean the room? Otherwise everything else was very good.

Good location at a good price
I'm an avid runner, so I picked the location to put me next to the Potomac River Trail as well as an easy walk over to the Braddock Metro stop. Neighborhood isn't gentrified like the King St area, but it's 1/2 the cost. Also, there's a park and public tennis courts across the street, and the hotel has an okay restaurant.

Good location in walking distance to Kings at, Old Alexandria. The shuttle service to Ronald Reagan airport is use and runs regularly for easy access to the metro.

It was clean. Air Conditioner was very loud and hard to control to make the temperature comfortable. It felt very cold when it was blowing. No microwave in the room. This was a huge inconvenience for me, because I need it to make my breakfast.

Two words: bed bugs. I became covered in bed bug bites and had a severe reaction. Alerted management who didn’t even offer to comp the room. Beware.

In room 1203, the bathroom sink faucet did not work well. I wanted warm water. It seemed that when I turned on the cold water, it turned off the hot. So I had either very hot or cold water. Otherwise our stay was just fine.

Very upset that I couldn’t get reception in order to use my phone to make a call in the morning . Couldn’t arrange an Uber as early as I’d like or call home. Have never had this issue before in a hotel. Very frustrating!

Overall, eh. Room was ok. Bed was comfortable. A/C was loud and leaked water so the carpet was soaked around the A/C unit which led me to wonder how long it had been going on and how much mold and mildew am I sleeping in. There is a restaurant on-site that charges $16 for the same free breakfast you get at Comfort Inn.
