โIf you are planning a trip to the Barre or Montpelier area of Vermont, stay at Maplecroft Bed & Breakfast. Wonderful breakfasts, thoughtful amenities, comfortable bed (the pillows) all in a Victorian home complete with a Tower Room. โ
โThis is a great place to stay overnight or for several days! The rooms are nicely designed, and the fireplace in the lobby is a nice touch when thinking ahead to fall/winter. The highlight of the property is the multiple fire pits and seating areas down along the river. It was beautiful down there, and spending the evening along the river was exactly what I had hoped for. I will be staying again! โ
โHey itโs got a great location and scenery. The hosts were kind, and we had a nice conversation along with other guests over breakfast, which really let me understand the people and the region. Iโm already missing the trees and the flowers. All New England. And I gotta say, Iโm the first one from Korea to stay there. Koreans, check this place out!โ
โFantastic little inn set in the scenic Green Mountains. Check in and out was super easy with text/digital communication. The common areas of the in are beautiful and accommodating with plenty of seating areas inside an out to enjoy the seasonal setting. I will absolutely be staying again! โ
โThe room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had originally booked a stay somewhere else, and were very disappointed when we got there. We ended up leaving the place we originally booked, and so thankful that we found Mad River Lodge to turn around our weekend getaway. We would absolutely recommend and return in the future. โ
โVery nice place to stay. They conditioned the place to have an entry were you can boot up and leave your skies to dry too.
In general, it was a good place to stay as a couple with 2 kids. For more adults, it would be a challenge.
Beds were quite hard.
They have a lot of utensils, china and silverware.
The Bridges also has a shuttle to go to the mountain (so you can leave your car parked).
