"Lovely warm reception when I arrived, which was nice and the staff were very helpful throughout my stay. The outside area around the hotel was very neglected, which didn’t give a great impression but the rooms were very clean, if a little tired and in need of some re-furnishing. For the price paid, and the cleanliness of the room, I would definitely stay here again. Would just be nice if the area around the hotel was a bit tidier as a wrecked car was even sitting in the parking area around the back."

"Overall a lovely spot to stay, travelling on business. Gym is super small and they could do more with the space they have by stripping out some of the bulky treadmills etc and just putting in some weights / kbs / mats. Also my single bed wasn’t amazingly comfy. But would I stay again. Yes, 100%. Staff are great (reception were super helpful as I’d actually booked the wrong night!), breakfast was lovely and the setting / story is gorgeous. Pub next door was decent for dinner. Recommend."

"We have been here a couple of times and its still the same without any updating which was a little disappointing. Breakfast was disappointing as it was a buffet, on previous occasion it was a served breakfast which was much better. Would still go again as it is so convenient for Rutland Water, that would be the only reason to visit."
