“It is older hotel with lots of character! We only stayed one night but bed was comfy. It was clean and quiet. Coffee close by. We had a coffee maker but no coffee or cups. Bathtub had great water pressure but only half when you turned it up to shower.
There was a nice gameroom, porch, pool. A cool Blackbeard statue! Room was big but no elevator for those that require one.”
“Beautiful small hotel. Room was very nice with balcony looking out to water. Lots of amenities provided. Continental breakfast was very good. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room had refrigerator and microwave and cooking utensils well maintained and very clean. Would recommend this place highly and stay here again if in the area.”
“You get what you pay for. It is an old property that needs renovation. The front office staff was very short and acted like it was an inconvenience checking in. The water pressure was nonexistent and the water temperature would be hot then cold and again hot. Will definitely pay more on our next trip to stay somewhere nicer.”
“I would have given a total of 5 stars, but the only thing that prevented that was the beds. The beds in my opinion were super uncomfortable. Location is perfect, the room was indeed clean, the pool was nice but the beds could definitely be more comfortable and the bed frame is self was kind of wobbly and loose such as the coffee table as well. The “front office” seemed like a ghost town I’m not sure who “the staff” really were. With that being said I paid $645 for 2 nights which isn’t hateful....
