Needs update
The ocean front location was great - the ocean is the only thing you can see from your room window. The hotel needs a serious makeover. Everything needs to be updated. The bathroom did not have a single surface to put toiletries.

Loved the proximity to the ocean and the grounds. I wish they offered decaf coffee, and something other than frozen muffins/breads. Staff was kind & helpful!

Awesome view! Best location on the beach! The room was a little rough and had a faint musty odor. Beds were quite comfortable and nice little chairs and table by the windows. A microwave might have been a nice touch but no biggie. Oh and wash the windows! I mean it's really all about the view, right?

Ce motel est vraiment très bien. Tout d’abord la vue…. ÉPOUSTOUFLANT. La mer est notre paysage et notre berceuse la nuit, simplement WoW! L’ameublement extérieur est très confortable et en très bon état. C’est bien entretenu et ça parait. Le décor est un peu vieillot mais tout à fait approprié. Les matelas sont aussi un peu vieux mais pour 3 nuits, aucun problème. Les oreillers étaient vraiment adéquats, ce qui est rare. Détails qui peuvent paraître insignifiants mais tout de même pratiques, j’ajouterais un anneau à serviette près du lavabo et une lampe près de la table et des chaises. Le personnel est ABSOLUMENT EXTRAORDINAIRE, courtois, poli, gentil et serviable. Ils nous ont même proposé des activités. Bref, j’ai adoré mon séjour au Cutty Sark et j’y retournerai certainement.

What a delightful stay
We have been coming to York Beach for years and have stayed at many places From now on it will always be the Cutty Sark for us. What a great hotel. It was clean and inviting, the owners were fabulous, the ocean views were spectacular from the room and yard. Even the morning coffee and treats were delicious!!

A True Beachfront Motel
The location is outstanding just 20 for so feet from the beach. Every room has an ocean view with comfortable beds and extremely friendly and welcoming staff from the top down.

The room was clean, but after paying $300 per night there was not any maid service. Our room was not cleaned during our stay. I probably will not use the Cutty Sark again unless there is better service. I have stayed there many times.

Hi Stephen, I am so sorry to hear that you did not receive housekeeping services!! There absolutely should have been. Sometimes rooms are missed by accident. Hoping you contacted the front desk to let them know. This is not how we want our guests to leave us. Hoping you will consider another stay with us in the future.

Very small bathroom but view of ocean was the best The problem was there was a group of seven couple’s who drank beer and sang and made unimaginable noise during the day

The setting and the view from every single room is pristine. We especially enjoyed the grassy areas overlooking the water, set up with tables, lounge chairs and Adirondack chairs to enjoy time together as a family. Coffee and muffins in the morning was a nice treat. Most of the staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough to make us happy.
