My trip to the &Beyond Xudum Okavango Delta Lodge in Botswana Africa, was an incredible experience. The staff at the lodges are so wonderful and caring, looking after their guest so incredibly well. Hot chocolates on the early morning safari trips are a highlight. I was travelling by myself after being with a group who went to Uganda and South Africa, so suddenly being alone was a little strange. At every meal at Xudum a staff member would eat with me to keep me company

"Ich habe pro Nacht 1100 € bezahlt und mich sehr gefreut. Schon bei der Ankunft die erste große Enttäuschung bevor ich das Zelt betreten habe. Von der Terrasse aus sah man nur Kühe. "Staffing was a major issue. There was a cleaner there when we got there and didn’t seem to have any information about us coming. The rooms weee clean but little things were broken (tv remote). When we tried to leave the next morning, there was absolutely no staff around and we couldn’t get out of the gate. It took us 10 minutes to figure out how to get out of the grounds. No communication from anyone. It would be a great little spot to stay if there was a bit better service. "

"When we arrived, they didn’t have the Expedia reservation, which had been reserved well in advance. But it was quickly sorted with the Expedia receipt. The room was clean, the staff made us a nice coffee tray, and there was security overnight in the parking area. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel. There are only a few restaurants in town and a supermarket, which are all in walking distance. It was all fine for just one night. "
