"let’s start from the negative - the name is totally misleading; we thought we were booking Camp Xakanaka which is a beautiful lodge in the Okavango delta where instead from Camp Xakanaka Mobile we ended receiving a mobile tents tour from Temogosafari that did not even ever stopped in Xakanaka…I believe Expedia should ensure better information; for a mobile tour they are not so cheap either. "When we arrived, they didn’t have the Expedia reservation, which had been reserved well in advance. But it was quickly sorted with the Expedia receipt. The room was clean, the staff made us a nice coffee tray, and there was security overnight in the parking area. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel. There are only a few restaurants in town and a supermarket, which are all in walking distance. It was all fine for just one night. "

"The sink had no plumbing traps, so it smelled like a sewer if you hadn't used the sink for a while. The lock to the door was really hard to both lock and unlock. I stayed in two different rooms, one didn't have the possibility to lock the bathroom. No restaurant within walking distance and no possibility to make your own food except for a water boiler. Really low level of sounds proofing. The staff was really friendly and helpful though 😊"

The concierge informed them there was no record of the reservation and that the KESMO LODGE DOES NOT WORK WITH HOTELS.COM. We showed up to our pre-paid booking confirmed by Expedia and the hotel told us that our booking didn’t exist due to not having an agreement with Expedia. The hotel was fully booked which left us out a lot of money, which the hotel also mentioned was not consistent with their rate which was multiple times lower than the noted rate through Expedia. "We spent 3 nights at the Maun Lodge. It is a bit older, but considering its convenience and free airport shuttle, we were happy with our stay. The room itself was basic but very clean and house keeping came every day to tidy up and replace any dirty towels and restock complimentary still water bottles to the room. The restaurant is busy and offers a decent menu. The staff is friendly and helpful with whatever you need. We enjoyed the pool on our final day. It is a cold water pool, but we were happy lounging in the lounge chairs and enjoying the shade and quiet. Overall, we would stay again if we return to Maun. "
