โThis was a fun place to stay. Kind of quirky, certainly unique. Clean and spacious and with a Scandinavian vibe.
Could have used an extra hook or two for towels and the sink was a challenge as water tended to splash over onto the floor. Free use of bikes and an outdoor sauna added to the special atmosphere. They also offer a couple of glamping options. Cool.
We tried the breakfast basket option one morning. Sharp idea. We would stay here again, without question. โ
โI recently stayed at the Snowshoe Lodge in Lake Placid, NY, and it was an absolute gem! The lodge was super cute and impeccably clean, creating such a cozy and welcoming vibe. I especially loved the separate living area with a kitchenette, which made it so convenient for relaxing and whipping up quick meals. The location couldnโt have been more perfectโwithin walking distance to the charming downtown Lake Placid, with its shops and restaurants, and just a short drive to some fantastic hiking...

โThe rooms are being renovated and mine was clean and like new. I think more room improvements are coming as I'd describe it as 'spartan'. I only needed a nice clean bed and great shower after a day of hiking and biking and this was just fine. โ
โI liked that this property is not right in the middle of the main street, but close enough. Loved the pool and the quiet. The staff is very friendly. Thanking Rodney for his help with housekeeping.
The mattress in our deluxe king was sunken in the middle and the pillows were too big and fat for me. A little updating would do wonders, but overall, I would definitely recommend this property.โ
โExcellent property in a great location near Lake Placid village. Facilities were well kept and was quiet. Would recommend putting a water bottle filling station in the Lake House building.โ
