"As very regular visitors , the standards of every aspect and staff are excellent. It gives you a feeling of coming home. Staff remember us and as friends would do. Should you need something or help , they are always pleased to help. It really does shine and stand out. And the great Yorkshire attitude is just fantastic. This includes every single member of staff. Be it Reception , the Bar ,the Cleaners and Cooks , Back Office etc. 5 stars."

"Comfy bed and room was quiet despite the nearby street being very busy on a Saturday night. Parking was nearby, but I had to ask about exact location with the team before arriving as it wasn’t clear to me which car park I could use… but it turns out it is discounted for guests."

"The property was clean and well maintained. The staff were well presented and extremely efficient. The only thing that disappointed was the downstairs bar closed early and you had to be dressed up to use the rooftop bar which we weren’t but just wanted a quick drink before going to bed."

"The hotel is beautiful and in a perfect situation for all amenities. I had booked a small double and the only complaint I would have was the pressure of the water and the shower head kept sliding down. I would stay again"

"Four friends on a weekend city break. Both our rooms were set up as twin beds as requested. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, as females we do like to be able to spread out make up and hair styling equipment, there was no mirror on the desk. We have stayed in many hotels and this is the first time we have come across this. Breakfast was fantastic, the choice, quantity and quality of food on offer was excellent and surprisingly good value. I must highly commend your reception staff who went above and beyond in helping one of our party who suffered a fall outside the hotel. Offering ice packs, wheelchair, escorting us to the railway station. Their kindness and help made a very difficult situation for our friend more comfortable. Our friend was eventually diagnosed with a fracture of the ankle later that evening. I would more than recommend The Queen Hotel, its location, value for money, fantastic food and decor. But above all else - the staff, you looked after us so well."

"Generally a good stay. Some of the rooms seem a bit tired, but we were happy with our recently refurbished room. The hotel is a great location for exploring the local area and has a good restaurant for breakfast and bar area. We also enjoyed the complementary access to the spa/pool."

Nice area, very good breakfast hot and cold food with great choice, helpful and friendly staff especially manager in restaurant. Lovely bright area with nice bar.
