"The accommodation was easy to find & parking no problem. Hospitable host. It was perfect for us - we just stayed 1 night. Clean. Good kitchenette. Plenty of windows that open easily, so nice & light & airy. Bed comfortable. Shower not very powerful, but sufficient. Heaters in lounge & bedroom if needed. Breakfast & fruit juice brought to your door & very tasty. Would recommend & return. "

"It was fine for £35 a night. If you want something more than basic then go pay a higher price."

"The apartment was nice and spacious. However only two towels were provided for 4 people, upon asking for more we received back a message to say there was more in the cupboard unfolded. These towels were dirty with stains on them. The apartment was quite dusty and bathrooms were not the cleanest, the owner of the property explained the cleaners were busy however offered no apology. Upstairs noises all night, and had to shut windows as outside traffic and noise from neighbours. "

"The property is run virtually staffless. The is no reception, requests for replenishing towels, toilet roll and toiletries by WhatsApp were ignored. They changed key codes for the bedroom without notification which meant making phone calls just to enter the room. Would not recommend to anyone. It seems more like a student hostel than a hotel. Requests for parking instructions were also ignored meaning we parked in the station carpark at considerable expense. "

"We came to visit family who live nearby in the village, so it was very convenient to stay at the Red Lion. The apartment was great, the super-king-sized bed was very comfortable with lovely cotton sheets, and there was a great shower. Staff were very friendly and the apartment block is a short walk from the pub, so it is private and quiet. Would definitely stay again . "

"AVOID. We booked this accommodation months in advance for a work trip, yet on the day of arrival the property left my team completely in the lurch. We called the number provided on the booking to confirm our arrival time and were told there was no booking on their system. Moments later we received a cancellation notification through the Hotels.com app, which clearly showed that a booking did in fact exist. It seems the property had either forgotten about it or simply couldn’t be bothered to...
