Hotel Capri

"Solid stay. The shining feature of the hotel is the kind staff who are incredibly helpful with anything you need. The free breakfast was plentiful and had many options. The room was squeaky clean. On the other hand, our room was tiny. The hotel is situated on busy Via Gardesana, and the traffic noise was bothersome to me. They don't provide irons, which apparently is common in Italy, as our subsequent hotel did not either. They did show us an area where we could iron clothes if we wanted to. The on site restaurant did not provide any kid friendly dinner options. And the cleaning staff entered our room without knocking while we were in the room 3 different times which was pretty shocking to me. Overall, would not stay again."

"Lovely hotel, in such a fantastic location and so close to everything in the town. Right beside the harbour for boats, ferrys, cafes, restaurants, bars. Rooms were tidied everyday and restocked. Rooms were big and comfortable with aircon, and amazing views. Staffed helped where the could and advised when possible. Town is beautiful. Can really say enough good things."

"Room was a bit tired but perfectly acceptable. Loads of space both in the room and bathroom. Nice partial lake view from the room/balcony. Breakfast was good and was kept topped up by staff. Seating outside under shades. Centre of Malcesine about 20-30 mins walk from the hotel along the lake."

"A lovely hotel that I would recommend to anyone. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The pool area is very well looked after and the breakfast was lovely. The location of the hotel is great, just a few minutes walk to the lake and to bars/restaurants."

"Short walk from the bus station. 10 min walk up hill away from the water from the ferry stop. Conveniently located near a grocery, in the old section of town. Near every thing! We had apartment 2. Both 1,2 have large balcony’s looking north with a mostly unobstructed view of the lake dining table and chairs on the deck were fabulous. Beds comfortable pillows were flat. Washer available in a common area for extra charge. Host was very helpful. European shower (ie small). Only a few stairs to negotiate. Well stocked kitchen. Would defintely stay again. "

"We had an amazing stay from the moment we arrived! We had booked Hotel Augusta as our base as we were running the Lake Garda marathon, which finished at Malcesine. We had a hire car and were able to park up no problem with ample and secure spaces. When checking in, we were given a warm welcome and given full instructions on things like breakfast and accessing the leisure facilities. Onto our room and we had one of the most spectacular balcony views I've ever seen, overlooking the town, the castle, the lake and the cliffs beyond. Everything was incredibly clean, the bed was huge and very comfortable. The nicest touch was that after explaining that we wouldn't make breakfast on the Sunday as we had to be away early for the marathon, one of the team knocked on our door the evening before with a lovely breakfast spread for the morning to ensure we were well fuelled. It was lovely and completely unexpected, but really appreciated. The indoor and outdoor pools with hot tub were heavenly after the marathon. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone, but especially if you're doing the marathon! Thanks again for an amazing stay."
