The Rustic Inn is run, more or less, like a VRBO. No staff on hand. Housekeeping while they tend their duties- they are very friendly:) The room needs some TLC

It's the perfect place to stay if you want to hike Itasca State Park but don't want to camp. It's about a 20 minute drive from the south entrance. Cute rooms & very clean.

We rented the King suite for 5 days and upon arrival, were intrigued by the log cabin look of homey feel even through on a busy road. The room was very clean with a nice lemon scent. We immediately felt right at home as the King suite had a separate bedroom from the large living space. We were not sure how to contact housekeeping as they definitely didn't bother us daily, however, they were present around the property each to ask for fresh towels and a change of the garbage.very friendly, we would stay here again!

Super clean room and bed comfortable. You can tell it gets a lot of use, tp holder and towel holder broken, light above mirror missing bulb. But it is easy, clean and seemed to be safe area. Parking a little tight.

There is no on-site location to check in. You must call the listed phone number to check in. The responding person was helpful and made the process quick and seamless. The room itself was clean and spacious. I have two critiques, though. 1. Temperature control didn’t work, which we discovered when we tried to turn the air conditioning on 2. The curtains are not blackout curtains and let in light. When the sun rises at 5 AM, the room becomes light, too.

No organization for parking Staff: no one on site, but they answered the phone or called back quickly. Friendly Cleaning staff-friendly and gave us items we asked for, due to a 4 day stay Had two rooms, one air conditioner didn’t work, but could be operator error, but cracked windows during the night. Did not hear people in the adjacent rooms Could hear trucks going by, but barely. Rooms were clean Loved the beds, all three of us slept well. Beds were soft, not firm. Rooms had a mini-fridge with separate freezer. Microwave. Did not use WiFi or TV. 4 minute walk to the Great Northern Cafe

Clean and comfy

Great little motel, super clean and comfy beds! If all you need is basic room to sleep and nice clean bathroom with super hot water, very clean. We were pleasantly surprised and would recommend.

The stay was good for the price. The smoke alarm was broken and falling off the ceiling and the door was very hard to lock but other than that the stay was good and the room was very clean.
