โThe staff and the location were excellent- the neighborhood was quiet but accessible to the fun spots. The hotel was beautifully decorated. The room was tiny but the bathroom was terrific!โ
โOverall had a great stay, but a staff member in particular seemed to be frustrated that I do not speak French. My fault if the hotel was meant for French speakers only, but if that is not the case it really tainted the whole experience which would have been very, very nice. โ
โWe had a nice 4 night stay at the Bellegarde Hรดtel by Viktor. Easy check in process. The location is perfect - about a 5-10 minute walk to the Cours Mirabeau (the main strip of the town). AC was adequate. Room was clean and very quiet for quality sleep. Must be okay with stairs as there is no elevator, which was not an issue for us, but something to be mindful of. โ
โThe reception desk is quite different from the photo on the site.
When we arrived at the hotel, the front door was closed with the memo on the door, which said 'will come back in 10 min' and we waited for 30 min.
However, the hotel man was very kind to carry our luggages to the room and inform us of the city.
The hotel has a beautiful small garden where you can enjoy your small breakfast in the sunshine.
The room was kind of tiny but it was ok.โ
"Everything was good except one employee who were in charge for 1st day.
I understand there is a rule for the hotel. However, even if she verified that I alreday paid for entire my hotel fee and learned it remains only taxes, she rejected to open the main gate for hotel. Yet the card reader machine didn't work for more than 10 minutes. I should have let the car outside just next to the road like that. I suggested to pay in cash but as this is not the hotel policy, she rejected again. It would be better if she took the money as a warranty and when the machine works correctly she can give it back. And for more surprise, I stayed 3 days and 4 nights, main gate was always opened except the day I arrived. So I think she was the problem. I don't know she acted like this because I am not European or she is slow naturally but it wasn't pleasant experiences ๐ฎโ๐จ
Other than that, my stays were so good.
