"The hotel itself is beautiful, with great facilities and lovely views of both the mountains and the sea. The shared pool access rooms are definitely worth it and really enhanced the experience. The pool bar was also a highlight, and Elissa in particular provided fabulous service throughout our stay.
That said, there were a few areas where the experience fell short of what you would expect from a true 5* hotel. The vegetarian food options were quite limited and unfortunately was not very good overall. We also found the reception staff fairly unhelpful, starting from check-in where we were simply handed an information sheet rather than being properly welcomed or briefed on the hotel. To make matters worse, some of the information provided was inaccurate — for example, the à la carte restaurant was advertised as open for dinner bookings, but we later discovered it only operated two nights a week, meaning we were unable to get a reservation during our stay.
Drinks were another disappointment. While using non-premium brands isn’t necessarily an issue, the menu was misleading in places — for example, the Aperol Spritz was advertised as containing Aperol, but was instead made with a much cheaper alternative, which noticeably affected the quality.
Overall, I’d say the hotel has the facilities and appearance of a 5* resort, but the service and attention to detail felt much closer to a 4* experience."
