I like Perry but they need more dining options.

It was very quiet due to the off season time and the staff was very helpful. They let us keep our bikes in our room so we didn't have to load them on our vehicle each time. In connection with our stay at Hotel Pattee, we visited Ledges State Park, the Iowa Arboretum, John Wayne's birthplace & museum, and the covered bridges of Madison County.
Its a small town. Most restaurants close very early. Caseys has great pizza. Also went to a sandwich shop in Perry that was really good.
