Don't waste your time or money. Utterly Disgusting

It was dirty, holes in the window screens, the sheets looked like they were used and not replaced. Smelled of smoke. The reception area the chairs looked like they took them from the dumpster with the rips and filling coming out. The man at the desk was ok but the overall was absolutely disgusting. Esp when the guy at the front asked the housekeeper if the room was clean and they said yes just finished cleaning it. I would say run away as fast as you can. This site is giving this place a 3 star this should've been a minus 10/no stars.

We drove to Phoenix and arrived late in the evening. After checking in, we could not stay in the room assigned because it had not been cleaned, we changed rooms twice, even after having great difficulty finding staff to assist us to change rooms. After checking in the second room, we ended up cancelling the reservation and went through the inconvenience of finding a different hotel, and securing a reservation in the middle of the night somewhere else. I Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!

My stay was from July 24 to August 1, 2021. Hawthorne Suites at Wyndham in Chandler AZ is primarily a residential hotel for clients, perhaps on government assistance? I am not judging the hotel based on the residents but rather the management of the hotel which seems to be geared towards the concept of assured monthly payments and as such falls very short on servicing those clients as well as their short-term guests. Some points to note from my trip in July 2021: NO breakfast is included, although it is still advertised as available, both on-line and in their on-hold phone message. NO pool is available. The pool water is dark green and a longer-term resident told me the pool has not been open for months. Really? In the summer in Arizona? The rooms and hallways are shabby, outdated and it is apparent that no money has been spent in the last decade or more to keep them updated. Hallways not vacuumed. During the 3rd night of my stay the children in the room above mine flooded the bathroom. Water poured from the ceiling through the AC register, the sprinkler-head, and the exhaust-fan and flowed into the living room area. I put all available towels onto the floor. After running to the office to report this I waited as the clerk went upstairs and knocked on the door. I heard the mother first feign ignorance, but then say the kids were "a little rowdy" and she'd tell them to stop. No consideration was given to me, even after requesting it, by the management. Please do not stay here.

Never ever ever stay here, it’s disgusting

Our non-smoking room was full of smoke and the hallway smelled like weed. There were exposed wires, and my one year-old children could’ve easily shocked themselves. The Wi-Fi was not working, and overall it was just grungy and dirty. We ended up booking a different hotel for the same night unless there after about 15 minutes because it was so gross.

there is no continental breakfast. $100 incidental fee if you have a card, $200 incidental fee if you have cash. It’s located near a lot. Also, an extended stay hotel so it can be loud sometimes but it has a basic kitchen.

Was very unhappy with the situation. Got there to check in, they told me that they didn’t have a room ready to come back in an hour. I came back an hour and a half later and they still didn’t have a room, was asked 2 more times to come back a 1/2 hour later. When I finally got checked in, the room want even cleaned from the precious guest. Went to the front to let them know. They then assigned me a smoking room. I have asthma and requested a non smoking room, when I told the attendant he scoffed. I finally just asked for a refund and searched for another hotel

Wouldn’t come back

Rather disappointing overall... the suite we were in was really in need of a renovation but needed maintenance at the least. Lampshades had tears, door to the bedroom was damaged, door handle didn’t work properly, dresser knobs were broken, and the floor we were on smelled like smoke (even though it was a non smoking building). Bed was uncomfortable and the area was kind of sketchy... definitely not a place my friend nor I would stay again as two young women wanting to feel like we’re in a safe area. Definitely much more worn and janky than I expected from a hotel labeled as 3 star. Also the men who helped check us in and out weren’t wearing masks even though there are mask mandate signs in the lobby. When we booked it said breakfast was included but we were informed they don’t serve breakfast and their hotels.com listing is incorrect and “they’ve been trying to get that fixed since everyone asks.”

Not good if you want a little breakfast

The details are not correct There is NO BREAKFAST. I have stayed in other hotels that breakfast was prepackaged. The room is like a one bedroom apartment, but needs to be repainted. There is paint peeled off the door. The toilet paper dispenser fell out of the wall and there is old mold around the air vents. I BOOKED THIS ROOM BASED ON HAVING SOME BREAKFAST BUT THAT WAS NOT GOOD

Do NOT consider this hotel

There is a long list of things that made the stay at this hotel a negative experience. The only positive things was the size of the room. It was nice having a suite to be able to move around. The negatives were that the exterior doors were broken so you had to search for a door that would open with the key. Front desk often would not answer the phone. No towels in the room. When asked for a plunger was told to come get one. They charge a daily resort fee, but the only thing they have is an extremely dirty pool with algae in it. No hot water in the shower.... overall a VERY poor experience. Would not stay again!!

The property was very dirty. I had to ask for another room because I could not breathe when I walked into the room. The smell of mold, cigarette smoke, and chemical was so strong. The room I was moved to still had the mold smell but was tolerable. I would not stay at this property again.

Air conditioner was leaky and caused a few minutes of continuous water to run onto the floor which can cause mildew/ mold on the carpet as well of kther health issues. Holes in doors and stains on the fabric chairs. Unit was overall clean and staff was prompt in trying to fix Air conditioning issue.
