"Property was clean and room was ok. No elevator. No amenities. EXTREMELY RUDE AND AGGRESSIVE “operations manager”. Though obvious his ego was bigger than the property itself, his behavior was still truly unreal. He had the nerve to threaten legal action against me before I even checked in because I hired a quartet (no speaker) to perform on my terrace for my brother’s 40th at 5pm before we went to dinner. I couldn’t believe it. A simple message letting me know it was not allowed would have sufficed. He instead claimed the area has strict noise ordinances and said he would take immediate legal action if I didn’t cancel. Which I, of course, did. He forgot to mention they are doing major construction around the property and it sounded like someone was banging on the walls with a hammer starting early in the morning and going well into the evening. They said it was out of their control. Don’t worry, I didn’t threaten legal action. That would be unwarranted, right?The property is also a major upward hike from town. Not suitable for elderly, handicapped, or out of shape people. Although priced well, stay elsewhere. In all of my travels, I have never run into such an unprofessional and aggressive hotel employee. Not worth it to be treated so rudely. Too many better options."

"Lovely hotel overall, and we were pleased to be given one of the newly renovated bedrooms on the second floor. The room was spacious with a fantastic sea view, which made for a great first impression. Unfortunately, our room was interconnected, and this significantly affected our stay. We had the misfortune of very noisy neighbors returning in the early hours, and due to the connecting door, we could hear everything — conversations, showering, even toilet use. This made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep and was quite disappointing. Dinner at the main restaurant was acceptable: the service was excellent, but the food itself was fairly average and not particularly memorable. At check-out, we mentioned the issue about the noise and lack of sleep to the receptionist. While they thanked us for the feedback regarding the new rooms, nothing further was done to address our concerns, which was a bit disheartening. This hotel has great potential and could be a truly lovely place to stay. However, I would strongly recommend avoiding interconnected rooms unless you’re comfortable hearing your neighbors in detail."

"The location of the property was great but the room wasn’t very clean with dust bunnies and dead bugs. The property claims to have a 24 hr bus shuttle to and from the Catania airport but it doesn’t exist. You have to call a taxi to get to the airport. There was only a thin sheet on the bed so I had to use towels for additional warmth. "

"The hotel is run down and it shows. But it's location and views of the sea are excellent. The staff were responsive but not particularly friendly. Nobody asked us how our stay was. Breakfast is ok. The breakfast room faces the sea. But all the windows were closed and all the curtains drawn making the room extremely hot and uncomfortable. "
