“Clean and quiet”

“The hotel was beautifully decorated and clean. The divided queen room with shared bathroom was perfect for two women traveling together. The complimentary breakfast had a good variety of options. If you aren’t an early riser, ask for a room not facing east as the sun is bright and comes through the plantation shutters early and strong.”

After I brought all my things in I looked behind the nightstand to find an extremely damaged outlet, which explains why there was no power. I saw food remnants and cockroaches underneath the bed. I immediately got everything out of my room and asked for a refund. The person working the desk was no help and I gave him back my keys. They gave no receipt. I contacted Expedia who did contact...

“This building is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. We stayed in "Kate's Room" and the bits of history and decor were elegant and deliberate. We had everything we needed and more. The bed was comfortable, and the house was quiet. We will, without a doubt, stay at the Shamokin BnB again if we find ourselves in Shamokin.”
