The staff was helpful, the property in a safe location, and no bugs. However, it was super dirty. The walls had stains smeared, the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed in a while, and the bathroom smelled like a nursing home. There wasn’t a continental breakfast or even vending machines. No cable either. They also couldn’t honor my ADA request for a first floor room.

The room itself was comfortable. The tub was old and the soap dish had been busted off the wall. We were only there for a few hours to sleep. The hallway had a lot of issues with busted ceiling tiles, water on the floor, very dirty. Liked the waffles for breakfast

Hotel had a different name and the sign was not lit. The staff was great, but lots of duct tape repairs. No anti slip in tub so the shower , though nice and hot, was slippery. Had to use a towel as a mat getting out.

Junk around front entrance. Clerk gave us keys to wrong room and directed us to room that already was occupied, keys were given to us in ripped, multiply written on envelope.Building & lobby looked neglected. Tub had odd large rectangle cut out of it. Wall covering was peeling off the wall near heater. Plastic screens were standing against the vent under the sink. Breakfast was less than basic. On pro side, bed was comfortable, shower was decent (if you dared to step into the tub), room lighting was exceptionally good, Iverall as feeling was of neglect. We would not return here.

The hotel is need of a remodel. I was there for 5 days. Their key system is old. I had to get my card reprogrammed everyday. And with cold temperatures, and me having my hands full. Do Not Book!

The woman who checked us in was wonderful, very nice and helpful. However I feel like this place is one step away from being condemned. Hardly anything is in good repair. AC units with exposed wiring, a closed staircase/exit, ice machine broken, stains on sheets, cracked walls, windows and screens, broken lamps and lampshades, keys that didnt work. It didnt feel clean or safe. I had to call on a phone to get checked in and never saw another employee the entire time, even trying to call for checkout. The pictures on the website are incredibly deceiving. I dont feel Hotels.com should even let people stay here, its that bad.

Hold your breath in halls

Overwhelming odor of weed in entrances and halls. Freezer malfunctioned during the night and dripped on floor. Sink water never heated up. Sheets didn't fit bed and were pilled. Blankets and towels were worn. Missing ceiling tiles in hallway. Weird voodoo between heater and A/C. Aggressive signs at front desk. Thin walls allowed noises from neighbors, hallway, and outside. Bathroom light switches had no face plate. Didn't even check for ice due to weed smell in halls. Room didn't have any odor itself, which was something of a miracle. Wifi worked well.

Fits right into Pipestone...humble, does its job

This place was clean and ready. It filled the bill. It's a small local motel in a town that needs a general magic wand for its downtown; the motel just fits right in at present. The building is an older one. There are two stories, with carpeted halls. If you want fancy decor and matching curtains and bedspreads, well, go elsewhere. For the price I couldn't beat it. Yes, petunias in a few pots would help outside. Sprucing up the parking lot and the entry would also help with curb appeal. Stuff like that. But I was really sleepy and needed to crash and that went well. Bathroom was clean. Surfaces throughout were clean. I got a queen bed with 2 pillows on a weekend for $67, half of the rate I paid at a convention rate in Sioux Falls an hour away the day before. Other overnighters appear to have felt the same way. I believe that there are full-time residents here, but didn't necessarily meet them. There was noise in hall at times--the hall sounds are not muffled. A minimal breakfast was serve-yourself in front hall...juice, milk, caffeine coffee, waffles, 2 kinds of colored kiddie cereal. Might have had bread for toast also--not sure. I thought the t.v. in my room was not working, but it was fault of my purse sitting in front of the cable box. Figured it out and I got better free choices than in Sioux Falls. Not sure why it's called OYO. Sign said Pipestone Hotel or just Hotel Pipestone. Can't remember. Gal at counter was friendly and helpful and she listened.

I can’t believe this was even on the Expedia site. When I arrived I almost didn’t even go in but I did and was met with a state condemnation l letter from the state on the counter saying nobody could be left on premises after the 9th of July so the counter person said we could stay I laughed and told him that no I’m not staying in a condemned building I left if I’d had known the picture on your site had to be years old this made an extreme hassle for me and my family as I was supposed to be at the viewing of my aunt shortly so we went there and after tried to get a room in pipestone but the other motel had filled making me have to go to another town to even get a room making it a pain and inconvenience not t expected very very disappointed with motel and Expedia for not being on top of this making this funeral an experience I will remember for all the wrong reasons.

Where to start?!? Only plus was the desk person was nice. Negatives: still under old management. Pipestone Inn, not OYO. Didn’t look at all like pictures. Had to call desk clerk to find someone for check in. Interior and exterior looked abandoned. Room was unclean. Had to clean the mirror and nightstand. Carpet dirty. Worst of all , no tv!!! Who didn’t pay the cable bill!!?!?! Sad to see this. Pipestone is a nice town and doesn’t need a business like this!!

There was nothing to like about this property. I would take it off your listing. Dirty inside and out. There was no staff. I think we were the only guests on a Saturday night. That should tell you everything you need to know about this disgusting place. No amenities. There was a TV but no cable service so you couldn't watch anything. No bar of soap. Not even a cup to drink from. No ice. No amenities whatsoever. The place was disgusting and I like camping. I would rather camp and sleep on the ground than this hell-hole.

There was no one at this hotel. Not one car, not even staff! I called the number on the counter and was told the jet was in the drawer behind the desk. The plastic key didn’t work but there was a master key so when my room was cold , it was -2 outside and the heater didn’t work I searched for a warm room to sleep in after 5 rooms I found one. The bed and sheets were clean and I slept fine but wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. I am surprised that this is listed on Expedia!
