"They cancelled on us less than 24 hours before our arrival because they “forgot” to tell us they are under construction. We are a family of 6 and they left us completely starting from scratch without any resources or help. Because they cancelled their entire reservations the day before, we were only able to find one room at one hotel in the entire city that was literally twice the cost on a last minute reservation. The Rodeway in staff member was rude and sarcastic, they never returned my call...

"Our room was not available on arrival. I was initially stressed, but the front desk was very polite and helpful. He gave us a better upgrade for our troubles. The pool was closed for maintenance which seems to happen a lot at Marshfield hotels, so it wasnt surprising. All staff was fantastic to us. The property is a little dated in some areas but clean and overall efficient on our visit. The rooms have very large TV's which look fantastic. "I rated this high overall, clean and comfortable rooms, newly renovated. Quiet. Nice staff. One thing I would suggest is to let people know there is still a lot of renovating going on when advertised on Expedia. Perhaps knock a few dollars off the price. It didn't really affect anything other than using the stairway. There was other work going on but I was gone during the day so it was fine. But overall, very good hotel stay for the price. "
