“Great staff all the way around, wonderful morning breakfast served with a selection and plenty of room to dine. The hotel bar was excellent along with the lobby very well decorated and comfortable.”

“Gives a The Shinning vibe. Has a very odd smell which is the combination of cinnamon and sage oil. The decor looks like an 20's themed party which was decorated by Amazon. The carpet with the dates was unnerving. I understand at one point this was the best hotel in Des Moines but that is not today. The staff was nice but somewhat disconnected I'm guessing because they aren't making enough to feed and shelter themselves. The parking is next door to the hotel and although not a deal breaker. ...

“As soon as I walked into the hotel, I was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. Gina was by far the sweetest young lady. She explained everything to me and showed me where the elevators were at as well as making sure I was comfortable. The room was all that and more! The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! I would definitely be back here when I visit my best friend again! 10 Stars if I could rate it that high!”

“Expedia defaulted to my login name and last name on the reservation but we didn’t realize until we arrived. The lady at the front desk was super annoyed and short with us as we tried to navégate how to fix it. I had a receipt with my full correct name on it as proof and expedia called twice to confirm it was me and that they’d updated the name. I get the name has to match but she didn’t have to be so short with us. When as my partner and I talked amongst ourselves she would interject to say...

“Clean rooms, mini fridge and microwave, parking lot was under repair so had to walk to a temporary lot but other then that this was a nice hotel. Very close to downtown which was very convenient.”

“Quick trip to Des Moines for a fancy dinner and a trip to the zoo. Clean, modern room and a very helpful front desk. Spent more on dinner than the room. 14th Street is busy, and you may need to do turnaround off a side street, but you can get to just about anything you need from there without much travel.”
