“Our stay at Casa do Rio was exceptional. There are 10 rooms with stunning views of the Douro River and vineyards. Our room was spotless and tastefully decorated, and we were welcomed with a plate of fresh figs and white port and all ingredients to make portonics. The grounds are lovely with an infinity pool overlooking the river and two semi private fresh water dunking pools. The food and was outstanding! We made our dinner selections earlier in the day and were treated to an exquisite...

“Very friendly and helpful staff.”

“Title: Wonderful stay at Quinta Bosque das Fantasias ★★★★★ We stayed at Quinta Bosque das Fantasias for one night and absolutely loved it. From the moment we arrived, the owner and staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive and genuinely friendly. The setting is beautiful and wonderfully peaceful. The infinity pool overlooking the hills is stunning, and the whole Quinta is perfect for escaping the city and enjoying some proper relaxation. The food was absolutely out of this world. The veal...

“Nous avons passé un très beau séjour à cette Quinta. Le personnel est très chaleureux et aimable. Ils nous on recommandé des restaurants locaux qui nous ont permis de découvrir la culture locale. Les déjeuners sont à couper le souffle, tout est fait maison et délicieux. Le petit chien est très adorable..Nous recommandons à 100% ce lieu. Merci encore pour le séjour.”

“Maravilhosa experiência Local a voltar”

“Local excelente para descansar e curtir a natureza”

“Beautiful historic place and very friendly host! It was a very unique place and we loved it”

You can preorder diner on most days but there are only 8 guest rooms so there may not be many takers. A car is needed as the estate is out of town. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. This is an old house so it takes some time for the hot water to come through to the shower and the...
