Solo Beach Stay
Close to the beach, quiet and simple for a great off season stay. Would be nice to walk to places if they were open, but it seems everything closes down right around Labor Day. For the price, you can’t complain. Personal parking spot, 1 minute walk to the beach and had plenty of amenities. Would definitely plan to cook some mornings for breakfast and make myself coffee the next time I stayed here rather than venture out for those things. Close to Portland and Biddeford, plenty of great beer and food around!

Upon entering that carpet was old, dirty and stiff. They had a futon that was old and decrepit. The kitchen facilities were very small. The stove was covered with the dirty aluminum foil. The sink in the kitchen kept plugging up. The bathroom was big enough for a toddler, the shower was so small you couldn’t turn around the toilet was so close to the sink. It was hard to stand up. The pool was so small. It was big enough to hold five people at one time. The pictures online were extremely deceiving and I will never go through Expedia again. This whole vacation was absolutely useless after what I paid for the room at night I was so disappointed. We actually ended up leaving a day earlier, so so disappointed

Convient location to shops, restaurants and the pier. All amenities necessary. Was a little loud and the train could be heard passing by. Great stay otherwise.

Très bien dans l'ensemble. Quelques éléments moins agréables : alors que nous étions 4, il n'y avait que 3 chaises pour le coin repas et très peu d'espace disponible. Une seule table extérieure par étage est disponible et était souvent occupée par les mêmes groupes. C'est correct lorsqu'il fait beau et qu'on est toujours dehors, mais lors de mauvais temps (comme c'était le cas pour nous), il devient difficile de trouver de l'espace pour manger.

Upside it's close to Beach. Downside, walls paper thin and constant clomping of feet from upstairs rooms is very annoying.

Great location, but paper thin walls
This hotel is located right by the beach and near the pier, which is convenient. They offer a parking spot dedicated to your room, which is awesome. The biggest complaint we have is how thin the walls and ceiling are. We were woken up at all hours by our upstairs and side neighbors, even though we slept with a fan and AC on. I can't blame the motel for inconsiderate guests, but it wouldn't have been an issue if the walls were thicker.

They didn’t have adequate parking on ground. Several different staff called within a 15 minute period for the same thing and then when I returned another staff member told me the same thing. Not pleased and wouldn’t stay again. Not worth the money

Great start to our vacation
Very accommodating hotel. Office was closed when we arrived and they had called us to let us know room was open and we could check in later. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Everything about the place was just right would definitely stay here again and recommend

The motel was well kept , my only gripe is the bathroom was the size of a broom closet, i will not be staying here again for that reason in itself, second the management was never in the office and the shared space was in front of my room and was claimed everyday by a family that staus there every summer and thinks that is theirs would of been nice to bring back food one night and eat it outside in the nice weather and not have toys and other peoples stuff all over like its their house. But if ypu are looking for a clean place and are under 160 lbs 5 foot 3 its a nice place

One Night Stay
One night stay with 1 adult 3 teens. The room was very clean and comfortable. Less than a minute walk to the beach. Good location, close enough to walk to the pier, about 10 mins, but far enough away from all the noise that goes on all night. Great stay.

We loved our stay, not so big on having to park our car across the street but the last couple days they allowed us to park in one of the empty rooms spots.

Local, Family owned business. Sam was super nice and accommodating. We forgot our beach towels and he grabbed a pair from home to loan us. Unreal… Can’t make this up! Thank you Sam. While the bathroom was snug, the actual room and kitchen are perfect. And most importantly: CLEAN. The rooms worked for us as the focus of our trip was Portland. We drove into the city for brunch, did some sightseeing and came back to recharge at the beach, then went back to Portland for a late dinner. If you’re visiting and plan to be on the move and want the best of both worlds, this place is perfect. So much so, my experience at Echo has redefined ‘Motel’. Amenities: Less then a 1 min walk from the beach (about 30 yards). Kid friendly. Heated pool. Reserved parking. Kitchenette (includes utensils). Walking distance from Old Orchard Pier (7 min walk). Downtown Portland (25 min drive). Portland Head Light (30 min drive). Will be returning later this summer to celebrate my Daughters 5th birthday!

Nice receptionist, but otherwise disappointed
Pros: desk/check in very nice people and easy to checkin and checkout; access to end of street then path to beach (about 50 yards total) Cons: wifi in room #2 very bad, literally had to walk to window for reception; walls very thin - could hear people talking and snoring; zero view from any window - all translucent windows; not beachfront, not beach view, but beach access (~ 50 yards); very cramped, tiny bathroom; no peep hole in front door (and can’t look out translucent windows).

Wonderful Stay in May
Our 7-day stay at the Echo Motel was wonderful! Julie & Sam were wonderful hosts and constantly checked in to make sure we were comfortable. Our room was lovely - newly renovated and super clean. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the little kitchen which made our stay so convenient. The beach is just steps away which we thoroughly enjoyed. We took some road trips to Portland, Freeport, and Kennebunkport as we were so centrally placed to visit them. We will be back!

Best hotel ever
Super nice hotel, super close to the beach. The room had a kitchenette if we wanted to cook. Nice town with a lot of things to do. The owner is super friendly and gave us recommendations for places to eat. The beach bagel is amazing. Totally worth every penny.

I liked that we had a nice pool and the ocean was in walking distance. Also it was nice that we could walk down to the pier and the shops.

One of the most amazing family trips we have taken. Our first trip to Old Orchard Beach. We absolutely loved the Echo Motel and cottages . It was quiet, clean, the perfect room setup, and the staff/owners were amazing! They were friendly and very supportive. Can’t wait to book our next family adventure back to Maine with the Echo Motel and cottages.

The owners of the hotel are so nice we enjoyed our stay so much we stayed a extra night within a few feet from ocean very clean only issue for me beds where to hard but other then that we loved out stay I recommend going their room anyone looking we will be back

Great Place
Great stay, Jenny & Sam were very hands on and wonderful. They have a very safe, comfortable place close to the beach.
