We had a great stay at the Press Hotel in October to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Staff were pleasant and knowledgeable and the location is great. Close to all we wanted to do. We did not dine in the restaurant but it looked lovely. The room we were in was nice and spacious with a comfy bed and really nice bathroom. Our only complaint is that the heating/cooling in our room did not seem to work efficiently. We would set the thermostat to 66 to sleep and it would never get below 68 degrees in the room. However, the hallways of the hotel were nice and cool. We actually opened the window a few nights to let some crisp, fall air in. I did not notify the front desk but if I was there longer I would have. When we are back in the area we will stay here again for sure.

The Press Hotel nails the “old newsroom turned boutique” thing without the cigarette smoke or deadlines. Sharp rooms, great staff, and enough personality to make every chain hotel feel like a press release.

Stayed in what they told us the “second nicest suite to the penthouse” but we were not impressed. We were getting married across the street at the court house and we were excited for a suite but it was not worth it for the price. There wasn’t even a bathtub included. How does a suite not have a bathtub included? We were super disappointed to say the least for the amount of money we spent.

The Hotel itself was beautiful and very well decorated. The rooms were extremely clean and had all amenities needed. My only complaint was that we could hear music most of the night. Not sure if it was from the street or another room. 4/5 because of this.

Not my favorite, but ok.

It was a glorified Marriott with a funky boutique theme. We were expecting more upscale. Service was deadly slow, especially at Union. All in all, I think the AC Waterfront is better.
