"My husband and l are from the USA and stayed for one week in February 2026 in a room with a king size bed and ocean views. I was very nervous about going to a remote island with no chain hotels or known car rental agencies. The island businesses are completely run by locals using whatsapp. Mar em Mim had only 12 reviews at the time l made the reservation, so it was kinda risky, but l it had everything l wanted. I was so pleasantly surprised. The pousada (bed & breakfast) was exactly as pictured...

It’s also only about a 10-minute ride from the main square, where you’ll find the largest concentration of bars, restaurants, and shops, though there are also a few options within walking distance. The included breakfast was prepared fresh to order by the chef. We were extremely happy with our experience here. The people are so friendly and welcoming. Plus the charm of this place being so small was great. The pictures shown on here don't do it justice. It's a fairly new property but don't hesitate to book here! "

"A cama não era de casal, eram 2 camas de solteiro juntas, porém o problema é que havia diferença entre a altura de ambas, ficando um pouco desconfortável para quem ocupa o maior espaço. As toalhas estavam manchadas o que também não gostei muito. Seria melhor que fossem pretas. De resto o atendimento muito cordial, café da manhã ótimo e até um chá da tarde."
