Wild Rose Casino & Hotel Clinton
8/10 Good
"This is a casino hotel. There is smoking in the casino. You do walk by the casino to check in so it is smokey. Our room was on the second floor down the hall so we did not smell any smoke in our room. The bed was pretty comfortable for a hotel. We did appreciate the breakfast ."

"I was a bit concerned on the way to the hotel since some of the reviews were less than good. I am happy to say the room and hotel were clean. Staff was pleasant. A few issues: 1) I was in room 127. Ground level. One of the windows to the outside could not be locked and there was no screen on that window. I had a metal item that I was able to use to keep it from being opened from the outside. This needs to be fixed. 2) the east door to the parking lot seemed to be unlocked at all times, even at night. It had a card reader for security, but it was either broken or just not activated. This is a relatively safe area, but security is always important. 3) Room only had one washcloth and I asked for another but they were all out. I was given a couple of smaller handtowels. Some attention to these things would elevate overall ratings, I am sure."

"Family run place. Very clean which is the most important thing when looking for a quick stay. Let us check in at 10:30 which was incredibly helpful. We were in town for a local race and the perfect location for a hotel near the Hennepin 100"

"My only disappointment was that I had specifically requested earlier arrival about a month in advance, but upon arrival my room wasn't ready. Waited about 30 minutes in the lobby, not terrible, but had hoped room would have been ready."
