Hotel Portonovo es un alojamiento en el que te brindan una atención amable y cordial, son atentos con el huésped, la limpieza diaria y bien servicio. En ocasiones huele a humedad pero es por el vapor que se mezcla con la madera f ella muebles, si embargo, es un olor tolerable El desayuno que ofrecen dentro del alojamiento está delicioso, los chilaquiles y el jugo fueron lo que más me gustó, brindan café, hot cakes, huevo, fríjoles algún otro guisado, fruta, yogurt, leche. Son sumamente atentas en el área de desayuno buffet. La alberca está limpia y tiene una vista al mar 🌊. Te recomiendo nadar en la tarde noche .

El costo no se me hace congruente para las condiciones del edificio: los cuartos son muy pequeños, poca iluminación, poca ventilación, huele a humedad, el elevador falla, no sirve el seguro de la puerta. En su favor, el personal atento y profesional, la ubicación es excelente.

Buena zona, personal amable, limpio pero las habitaciónes dejan mucho que desear, si van mas de una persona asegurate de traer contigo un extension electrica porque solo hay un tomacorrientes en la habitación con un solo Conector. Los muebles estan muy deteriorados y viejos. la verdad que no guarde mis cosas en la gabineta por miedo a que se quebrara. se ve muy lindo y fotos pero es poco espacioso y no se aprecian los detalles que mencione.

Absolutely terrible. Our sheets had sweat/blood stains even asking for new ones. The wifi never worked, didn’t receive any of my Expedia upgrades and even the elevator busted the last day. Left early for another place.

And although, the property in general is okay. There are things management need to address. It certainly needs lots of updating. TVs, Acs, bedding, pillows; etc. My tv was so old that we couldn’t watch tv, ac started dripping water so we had to shut it off. Thank god it was the last day. The bathroom shower door has a gap that leaks water through it. My partner almost fell because he didn’t see water on the floor after showering. I did complaint to the front desk. The room light was too dimmed(dark) We had too use our phone flashlight to look for things around. Also, brought to their attention. Overall, I give them 2.5 ⭐️. And to make matter worst they charged us an additional $100 pesos to stay an additional hour after regular check out time. No problem with the charge; but we figured since we had various complaints; they at list we let stay a bit longer since our return flight to the states was later in the day.

My opinion it’s a great place for a short stay. It’s nice but I don’t find the staff very helpful. It took almost a week for our tv to be fixed and quite often our room smelled like sewer for a few hours during the day. We ran the shower for a while as that seemed to be where the smell was coming from. Room was fairly clean and modern. Great location.

Emplacement super, propreté laisse à désirer, à notre arrivée ils nous ont données une très petite chambre sans vraiment de rangement avec de la moisissures partout et vu sur un mur, c'était très humide et pas d'air climatisé, la TV ne fonctionnait pas, nous avons été leurs dire et nous avons été obliger de coucher dans cette chambre deux nuits avant d' en avoir une autre, celle-ci plus grande mais le lendemain on voit une coquerelle passer, on leurs dit mais rien se passe, nous allons chercher nous-mêmes du produit pour les tuer parce qu'on se dit, une il y en a sûrement d'autres et bien oui le surlendemain on était rendus à 9 de tuer, encore une fois l'hôtel ne fait toujours rien et à la 3e journée nous en avions tuées 15, donc à minuit le soir parce que c'est assez ( les coquerelles et dormir les lumières allumées pour pas qu'elles sortent plus) nous avons cherché un autre hôtel à minuit le soir pour terminer notre voyage, vraiment dégueulasse comme endroit, je ne recommande vraiment pas

We were initially dissapointed as the room was so SMALL - smaller than an inside cabin on a cruise ship and that is saying something. We are 2 ladies travelling together so need twin beds and the first room we had, 307, barely had room for our suitcases. And had a musty smell because the only window was a small window that opened in to the hallway! We did complain and the next morning Monica the assistant manager switched us to 313 which was still a small twin room but at least it had a glass patio door and window that let in light. And there was a small window in the bathroom for extra ventilation. The small twin room, 307, is more suitable for a single traveller or maybe a couple who are travelling light and just need a room for one night. The Hotel is very clean and well maintained, with attentive staff, and so convenient, being just a block up from the water and just a few blocks from the Malecon. There are lots of restaurants, food stands and bars right out the door but it is a noisy neigbourhood. Which didn't bother us but a light sleeper might ask to be on the water side of the building. The breakfast - which is included - had both hot and cold options so that was a nice feature of the hotel. The 4th floor patio is a nice place to hang out during the heat of the day. I would stay here again. But bring your own facecloth as they are not generally supplied in Mexico.

We have been staying at Portonovo for quite a few years and have always enjoyed the area. The hotel was newly renovated a number of years ago and things are starting to need upkeep. The room keys seldom worked so this meant heading to the main desk for updating. The gym is no longer in service. Many of the lights in the room did not work and the fan was unusable. On the positive side, the breakfast and the staff there were really good. Checking in was quick and easy while the cleaning staff were very good.

The room was terrible!!! The toilet not properly cleaned, light fixture over bathroom sink rusted and no cover. There was missing tiles around shower faucet with only insulation showing, hole in shower wall and a rusty bolt protruding from the wall. The bathroom door needs to be cleaned. Closet door has corners missing. Overall, this hotel needs a major overhaul. It is too bad as it is very convenient. If the price was cheaper, I would understand the condition. But when you are paying $150.00 per night, it isn't worth it. They don't supply kleenex, plastic glasses, or even ice. Definitely not a place I would be inclined to rent.

Clean hotel in a good, accessible zone. Rooms are small but clean. Personnel is very nice, limited english. Rooms towards the ocean side are more quiet. Breakfast is good, nutritious with plenty of fruits, scrambled eggs, beans and various other dishes. Very nice ladies servers. Coffee is weak but Starbucks is 2 blocks away. Ocean is just a block away and in the morning there is shade, you don’t need to rent umbrellas. Pool is small but decent, and the water is warm. Wifi doesn't work in the rooms but in the lobby is ok.

Our room was in dark area .quiet .areaoverlook garbage area.person at front desk was not helpful.didnt give much infirmation.didnt realize there was a pool area on roof until next morning. Breakfast was great ,hostess was very nice,helpful .

I needed a room for a night before my flight and this suited that perfectly. Room was on the small side but for 1 person it was alright. The staff was good and the breakfast was great!!!

It is in a great location staff is absolutely great especially Monica, Luis, busboy access to everything! Breakfast was good need more and newer tables and chairs some were broken and still in eating area. Some furniture was outdated and need repair our nightstand drawers could not close. There was black crud around shower stall. Things that could be overlooked but gross. Overall it was ok their employees are the best

I did not stay at the hotel . Just got a different hotel . Room was extremely noisy due to the busy street. . They had rooms but refused to change . Also they wanted me to wear a pink wrist band to go in and out of hotel 24/7 . Told me they will not return any money . And I can go to a deferent hotel . I called Expedia but of course no one answered the phone . I just left and got a different hotel through booking. Com . For 10-20 $ extra one can get a much better place . Will not recommend .

WiFi not working and the TV remote not operable. The elevatorNOT working! Room was VERY TINY considering the rate of pay for the night. Reception staff took forever to check me in (allegedly their computer system not working). There were 3 other guests came to complain about the WiFi and elevators not working while I was checking in.

La atención del personal fue muy buena, la accesibilidad y ubicación resulta muy buena. Las instalaciones son buenas. Hay puntos de mejora como la calefacción a la alberca ya que está helada y mayor iluminación en las habitaciones internas ya que no se ve nada. Tuvimos un contratiempo de limpieza en la habitación, no hicieron la limpieza un día, dejaron una toalla toda rota y deshilada, y las cortinas estaban sucias, todo esto se reclamó e incluso se preguntó si teníamos un trato diferente por ser de agencia a lo que dijeron que no. Finalmente y desafortunadamente el ascensor tuvo una falla técnica que no se arregló en 2 días. En nuestro caso no hubo mucho tema ya que estábamos ubicados en un 1er piso.
