“I thought the hotel was ridiculously overpriced for what it was. The property is run down. There was peeling paint in our room and rust in the loo and on the radiator. The other side of the hotel had a cool breeze but our room was small and stifling in the heat. The bathroom was tiny with an almost miniature hand basin. The pillows were hard. There were no amenities such as toiletries, not even a box of tissues. The staff were pleasant enough, but the hotel is priced like a luxury country house...

“Bit of an issue getting into the property as we arrived quite late but thought the pub would still be open. Sorted out quickly without a problem though. Room was really good, comfortable, clean with all we needed for a good night's sleep. Owner seems to have considered what was required really well. Breakfast was excellent & catered for all tastes. “Bankes arms!! First of all, I am not good at English, so I am not sure if the meaning will be conveyed well. Because of the connection with other itineraries, I could only plan the itinerary for one night at corfe castle, but it gave me regret that I was only just able to stay for one night. If I stayed for 2-3 nights, I would have added to the flavor of the trip by drinking beer or tea in the garden while looking at the wonderful view, steam train, and castle.
