“Everything was top notch from the cleanliness of the property to the historic value and the attentiveness of the staff. I would highly recommend it! We had one little glitch - our thermostat was wonky and the room got too warm. Im sure it would have been an easy fix if we had called the front desk about it. We'll be back!”

“This Hotel was in a central location. Brewery right across the street with grat food. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and very clean. We showed up 30 minutes after breakfast time and Terry made sure we still got fed. I noticed later in the day after we had left that I lost one of my AirPod in the bed. “Good location to explore downtown Dubuque. Clean room, helpful staff. Couldn't get through to hotel shuttle by phone, walked instead. Been there before, would go again.”

“Robert was very helpful and we found the breakfast better than our expectations.”

“We arrived about 8 pm and the front desk person was so welcoming and made sure we were able to get something to eat before the restaurant closed. He was a real gem.”

“What a pleasant surprise: A safe, well maintained hotel with an immaculate room and bathroom, Keurig coffee maker, clean microwave and 3.5 cu ft refrigerator, a nice included breakfast, responsive and professional staff and everything worked. And it was affordable. Lovely. If we return to Galena, we will stay there. Absolutely zero complaints.”

“Quiet old facillity but people are really kind. Bed was comfy.”

“This is the first Holiday Inn Express I’ve stayed at that I felt I went back in time to 30 years ago. This is so outdated I’m shocked that IHG puts their name on this property. Needed remodeled 20 years ago. The coffee looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. Was so dirty I left without showering. I’ve been an IHG member for almost ten years and this is the first time I’ve ever seen this. So disappointed that I paid for this online otherwise I would have left.”

“Definitely one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed at in my life and I travel for a living. Felt like I was staying at the Hilton it was so amazing. Kari is the best”
